Chapter 120 Attacking the Academy, Attracting the Attention of the Hatred Sect Members
"Let\'s see how they handle this," Alex muttered, a smirk tugging at his lips.
The sky roared as the fiery mass streaked downward, flames trailing like a comet.
Inside the academy, students and teachers alike stopped in their tracks, their heads snapping upward.
"An attack on the academy?!"
"That meteor looks insanely powerful!"
The panic was palpable, but one of the five main teachers remained calm.
Standing on a balcony, a man in glasses observed the situation with a steady gaze.
His robes flowed as he raised his hand, his voice commanding authority.
"Absolute Barrier."
A shimmering golden dome materialized over the academy, its edges pulsating with raw magical energy.
The meteor slammed into the shield with a deafening explosion, fire and sparks flying in all directions.
Students cheered.
"Teacher Seth blocked it!"
Seth adjusted his glasses, a faint smirk on his lips. "Not just blocked," he said, his hand glowing with another spell.
[Return to Sender].
The meteor\'s flames shifted direction mid-air, and in a flash, it reversed its course, racing straight back to its caster.
Alex barely had time to react.
BOOM!
The meteor struck him directly, the explosion shaking the surrounding area.
Smoke and debris filled the air as the shockwave pushed through the street.
For a moment, there was silence. Then, a faint glow enveloped Alex.
[You have received lethal damage but were saved by the "Blessing of the Fox Spirit."]
The barrier protected him from his own spell, but it wasn\'t like he hadn\'t expected that to happen.
Meanwhile, Seth landed gracefully in front of Alex, his expression unreadable.
His golden aura radiated immense power, a clear indicator of his Tier-7 status and his level—750.
"You attacked the academy," Seth said coldly, eyeing Alex with a mix of curiosity and caution. "That\'s a death sentence, you know."
Alex met his gaze, unfazed. "I want to talk to the chairman."
Seth tilted his head, his brow furrowing in confusion. "What? You\'re not a student, are you?"
"No." Alex shook his head. "But I have urgent matters to discuss with him."
Seth narrowed his eyes.
The demonic aura around Alex was unmistakable, because much like Melami, he could sense it too.
He recognized it as the lingering power of the [Vial of Undead Blood].
The item was infamous, and sought after by the Hatred Sect to complete their summoning of the [Hatred Demon].
Seth also immediately thought that what Alex was talking about was the [Vial of Undead Blood] when referring to the urgent matter with the chairman.
Was this kid part of the [Hatred Sect]?
Perhaps this wasn\'t just a random attack.
"You\'ve got some guts, kid," Seth said, finally lowering his guard. "Follow me."
He tapped the barrier of the school with his staff, and it opened up slightly, allowing Alex to enter.
Alice tried to follow after them, but Seth stopped her.
"Only the guy," Seth said, eyeing Alice and blocking her with his arm.
"..."
"Don\'t worry, Alice," Alex patted her head, "I\'ll be back in less than ten minutes, I promise."
"A-Alright," Alice smiled, deciding to lean against the gate to wait.
Ding!
[Golden Star Academy has been added to your World Map]
Spatial Magic, which is what the World Map basically is, is strong enough to go past any barrier, meaning that he didn\'t even need to be a student anymore to go inside!
Alex followed Seth through the grand halls of the academy, students and staff whispering as they passed.
Ornate golden designs lined the walls, and the faint hum of magical energy filled the air.
Finally, they stopped at an imposing door engraved with intricate runes. Seth knocked once, and it opened.
\'That kid has the vial of undead blood and wants to speak to you,\' Seth informed the chairman using [Demon Telepathy], which is one of the Hatred Sect\'s perks.
\'Let him,\' Dominic replied, his gaze growing serious.
But actually, something strange happened as they used [Demon Telepathy]: panels appeared in front of Alex, displaying the content of their conversation.
"...!"
It was yet again the [Cursed Eyes of the King], allowing him to see even magic waves.
But how did they know about the [Vial of Undead Blood]? He had no idea.

Alex sat across from the chairman of the academy, Dominic, a large man with a commanding presence.
Behind him, bookshelves filled with ancient tomes lined the walls.
"You\'ve caused quite the commotion," Dominic said, his voice deep and calm. "So, what\'s this urgent matter you need to discuss?"
Alex leaned forward, cautious but directly going straight for what he wanted, "I need the location of the Mage Tower."
Dominic raised an eyebrow, his gaze sharpening.
He stroked his beard thoughtfully. "The Mage Tower? That\'s quite the request."
"I need it for something," Alex simply said.
"..." Dominic\'s smile grew wider, yet again using [Demon Telepathy] with all the teachers part of the [Hatred Sect].
[I think we might be able to the vial of undead blood soon.]
That panel appeared in front of Alex too, though.
And instantly, he realized what the chairman would ask from him.
"I want one of your items," Dominic said neutrally, "Won\'t be of much use to you, the name\'s [Vial of Undead Blood]."
Alex hesitated at this moment.
The vial was a key piece of his plan and had incredible value. Giving it up wasn\'t an easy decision.
Dominic\'s aura flared, filling the room with oppressive energy. "Don\'t waste my time," he said firmly.
Feeling the crushing pressure, Alex clenched his fist.
"That?" He pulled the [Vial of Undead Blood] from his inventory and placed it on the desk, "I mean, you can take it, it just dropped from one of the bosses I killed, had no use for it."
Yes, he decided to act oblivious to its use.
Because if he did that, not only would the chairman not be suspicious of him, but he could also strike later.
Dominic\'s eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he picked it up.
"Lucky you, then," Dominic said, his fingers tracing the vial\'s edges. "As promised, I\'ll show you the location of the Mage Tower."
Dominic snapped his fingers, and Alex\'s [World Map] opened up, revealing a new marker past the [Mythical Forest] itself, meaning in the next area.
"There you go," Dominic said with a laugh, ecstatic that he managed to get the item the hatred sect wanted so much, just for some information about a tower, "Good luck finding your way there."
Dominic knew about Arceus, the Grand Mage inside the tower, and he was confident that he wouldn\'t accept this kid as a disciple.
He didn\'t accept anybody after all.
Alex stood, his expression unreadable. "Thanks," he said simply, leaving the office without another word.
As soon as the door closed though, a shadowy figure emerged from the bookshelves, having used the [Camouflage] skill to blend perfectly with the surroundings.
It was Yomi, another teacher and a hidden member of the Hatred Sect.
[Yomi - Academy Instructor, Mid-Tier 7 Assassin, Level 800]
Yomi grinned. "Should we investigate that guy?"
"No need to," Dominic replied before pointing at the item he got, "For now, the vial stays here. My office is the safest place in the academy. No one can break in without me knowing."
He placed multiple seals and protections on the door, ensuring that even the most skilled intruder would be detected immediately.
"We\'ll bring it to the sect soon," Dominic said, his smile widening. "The leader and the Hatred Demon will be pleased."
Yomi knelt. "Yes, chairman."
