Chapter 93 Alphox's Flames, Defending the Fox Tribe Village
Hundreds of demons froze in place, their eyes wide with fear as they looked up at the beast.
Alphox opened his mouth, a surge of darkness gathering in his throat.
"Shadow Flames!"
A torrent of searing shadowy fire burst forth, raining down upon the demons.
Hundreds were instantly incinerated, their bodies consumed by the black flames before they could even scream.
The smell of burning flesh filled the air, and Alex grinned.
"NICE, ALPHOX!" he shouted up, feeling a surge of confidence.
The demons were now in disarray, many too stunned to move.
"A p-primordial dragon…?" one of them stammered, backing away.
"Commander, what do we do?" another demon asked, voice trembling.
Grayar, their leader, wasn\'t intimidated.
His expression twisted with rage as he raised his massive mace, "We…" He slammed his weapon against the village barrier with a thunderous clang, "BREAK THROUGH!"
With a final strike, the barrier flickered, then shattered, leaving the village vulnerable.
As the demons rushed forward, Alphox\'s flames needed time to recharge.
But the dragon wasn\'t finished.
He hovered in place, his eyes blazing with excitement.
"Human," Alphox\'s voice echoed in Alex\'s mind.
"Hm?" Alex replied, summoning more undead as his previous forces continued to be cut down.
"Get ready, and try to kill as many as you can."
Alex barely had a moment to think before Alphox unleashed another skill.
"Eclipsing Roar!"

A deafening roar split the sky, paralyzing the demon army.
Every demon within the roar\'s radius froze, stunned by fear.
Their defenses and attack power plummeted by 20%, leaving them more vulnerable.
"NOW!" Alphox\'s voice thundered, and Alex didn\'t hesitate.
"Undead, breach the army!" he commanded.
His army of skeletons and ghouls surged forward, cutting down stunned demons with ruthless efficiency.
As they fought, Alex unleashed a barrage of spells, slashing at the demons with his dagger.
"Spirit Chains! Fire Meteor!" Alex\'s spells slammed into the crowd, adding to the chaos.
Beside him, Alera, the ice mage, conjured shards of frost that pierced through the demons, freezing their limbs and slowing their movements.
Alphox dove from the sky, his claws raking through the ranks of demons, crushing them like insects.
"YOU FOOLS, KEEP GOING!" Grayar shouted, refusing to let his army retreat. "WE WILL WIN!"
[Demons left: 3,721]
With the barrier gone, demons began spilling into the village, and Alex\'s undead retreated to protect the fox tribe\'s homes.
Alera moved back as well, positioning herself to guard the vulnerable villagers.
"Aura of Death!" Alex cast the skill, strengthening his undead army. "Defend the houses at all costs!"
The demons, desperate to reach the fox villagers inside, charged forward.
Their claws and weapons clashed against Alex\'s undead army, but the undead held their ground, even as they were torn apart and reanimated to fight again.
The [Demon Hater] effect was an absolute life saver in this situation, as the undead\'s defense and attack doubled, it meant they could fight back.
From within the houses, Alex could hear frightened cries and shouts for help.
"More…" he muttered, pouring his mana into casting spell after spell. "MORE!"
He launched a [Fire Meteor] into the approaching demons, the blazing rock crashing into them and scattering bodies in every direction.
Then he unleashed [Fury of Thunder], and lightning danced across the battlefield, electrocuting anything in its path.
Alphox had another round of flames ready.
"Shadow Flames!" he bellowed, preparing to unleash another fiery assault.
But Alex raised a hand. "NO, DON\'T DO IT!" he yelled.
Alphox\'s aim was locked in the center of the village, where both demons and fox villagers were hiding.
If he released the flames there, he\'d kill not only the demons but also the innocents.
"Alphox, aim beyond the village!" Alex ordered.
That primordial dragon truly didn\'t care about the fox kin, he just wanted to get rid of the demons.
But surprisingly, the dragon grumbled but complied, redirecting his breath toward an open area just outside the village.
The flames scorched the ground, vaporizing any demons caught in its path.
Hundreds more fell, incinerated instantly.
The battle raged on for twenty more grueling minutes, with Alex and his allies holding the line.
[Demons left: 484]
Now, the remaining demons were few enough to count.
They hesitated, fear overtaking their bloodlust as they looked around at the decimated battlefield.
"C-Commander, it\'s not working! What do we do?" a demon stammered, his voice shaking.
"Retreat?" another demon muttered.
Grayar laughed mockingly, "Retreat? You\'re all just too WEAK!"
The demon commander stepped forward, his mace gripped tightly as he glared at Alex and the fox defenders.
He marched into the village with the last remnants of his army.
Several fox homes lay damaged, and some of the fox villagers were injured, but none had been killed.
He fought with renewed vigor, his staff glowing as he unleashed a final wave of devastating spells.
"Fire Meteor! Fury of Thunder!"
"AAAHHH-"
A few demons tried bargaining.
"Human, join us, and we\'ll let you use their bodies however you want!"
They were getting desperate, but Alex wasn\'t moved.
"Disgusting," Alex sneered, sending another meteor crashing into their ranks. "All I want is for you to be dead."
When Grayar finally entered the village center, only 100 demons remained, huddling behind their commander.
The demons stopped moving, instead hiding behind their commander.
"Hm," Grayar mumbled with pure rage, "I guess I have to do everything around here.
He swung his mace, killing a dozen of undead with a single swing.
Grayar\'s gaze shifted between Alex and Alphox, who hovered in the sky above, his wings stirring the air with powerful beats.
"So, it\'s just me and you, huh?" Alex smirked, holding his staff in one hand and his dagger in the other.
Grayar\'s grip on his mace tightened. "I\'m going to kill you, human, and then I\'ll destroy everyone here."
Alera, worn out from casting her ice magic, stepped back.
Though she was a powerful level 400 fighter, above Grayar, her mana reserves were drained, and she had to trust Alex now.
Alphox, still eager for battle, circled in the sky, watching closely.
"COME ON, HUMAN! JUST YOU AND ME!" Grayar bellowed, swinging his mace down with a force that shook the ground and created a crater at his feet.
Alex grinned, unfazed. "Then let\'s go, you ugly asshole." He gestured for his undead to back off. "Everyone else can watch."
With a thunderous crash, Alphox landed beside Alex, the earth shaking beneath his massive claws.
Grayar took a cautious step back, his eyes darting between Alex and the dragon.
"I\'ll make this easy for you," Alex said calmly. "It\'s just me against you. Alphox," he glanced at his dragon companion, "take care of the rest of his underlings."
"With pleasure," Alphox growled, his tail sweeping through the remaining demons as he tore them apart with his claws. In seconds, he\'d finished the last of them off.
Now, only Grayar remained.
[Demons left: 1]
[Grayar - Legendary Demon Commander - Level 300 - Tier 5]
Grayar glared, his expression seething with hatred as he swung his mace in a wide arc, smashing through another line of Alex\'s undead with a single blow.
"You\'re strong," Alex admitted, rolling his shoulders and preparing his stance. "But not enough. Let\'s finish this."
Grayar\'s face twisted in rage as he raised his mace high. "I\'ll tear you apart, human!"
But Alex only grinned.
As he readied his dagger, he felt Alphox\'s presence, the dragon\'s gaze locked onto him with approval.
The fight was set. It was time for the final showdown.
