Chapter 51: The Elven Beasts of Corruption! I
As of this moment, nobody within the city knew that Neiman was dead while Enaman was captured.
In its skies, a Caladrius Aerial Beast appeared as it crossed from a breach tearing open the skies and earth.
Above it, Alexander gazed down at the city below him coldly as he could sense Beasts present along the streets of this city.
Humans cowering in their houses and barely running about.
It was a heavy scene to observe, as even if their leadership made the decision to ally themselves with Beasts, it didn’t mean all others were on board.
But what could they do?
Within their Two-Link or Three-Link Gem Sockets, what sort of defiance could they have?
So many preserved their lives and their families and simply stayed out of sight.
CAA!
The Caladrius, Nueire, let out a screech once more as in the distance, another one just like it echoed out.
"We are heading towards where my brother is, Ascendant Master. All others will gather there after our return."
Her body was large, but it didn’t take its full possible size- nor did it have the effect of [Lightning Grounds Support] actively raging around it at this time.
But the aura of power it radiated could not be denied.
With a few waves of its wings, it hovered over a Command Center as its eyes instantly caught something that caused it to be shocked, and it wasn’t the only one!
Above Nueire, Alexander felt the blazing auras of someone exceeding a Tier 4 Beast, and once his senses waved down to see their form…his body trembled.
Trembled.
For he saw something that was only drawn on reports.
Something he had both dreams and nightmares about.
He sensed the outline of Elven Beasts of Corruption!
"Ascendant Master, this…"
Nueire stuttered out as she didn’t expect this, but Alexander patted her fur with his feet as he spoke coldly.
"Land."
…!
In a wide open space near the Command Center where the earth was lined up with flat sheets of metal.
Corrupted Airships were stationed in the distance as the massive body of Nueire landed; the figures who had just stepped out of the Command Center and those on top of this Aerial Beast were getting to see each other at this moment!
Leading the other side, an exotic and devilish Tier 5 Elven Beast of Corruption looked at Nueire with questioning eyes, his gaze then going to the humans above it as it lingered on the over a dozen Gem Masters behind Azazel before it locked onto the two young Gem Masters at the very front.
A handsome young man and woman.
"Which ones are the Branch Leaders? And…"
As he finished his question, his eyes quickly lit up as his gaze that lingered on Alexander and Claire noticed the brightness on the chest of Claire that pulsed with five Gem Sockets!
"Bahaha, that chickling must be the newly Awakened Five-Link Gem Master prize. Good. Good!"
Elder Dadarius stroked his chin as beside him, the Tier 4 Elven Beasts of Corruption looked at each other with expectation as it would likely be one of them who would get the transplant of this.
Their gazes were those of greed and hunger as they locked their eyes on Claire, but they saw this young woman staring back at them with a cold gaze of defiance and hatred as blue lightning crackled within her eyes!
Elder Dadarius saw this while laughing jubilantly.
"She still has a fight in her eyes it seems. Not to worry. We will extinguish that light as the last thing you will see reflected back is fear. Endless fear!"
The voice of Elder Dadarius was full of power, its might innately causing others to want to seek favor and acceptance by bowing towards it.
Yet around them, only an immense silence hung.
The Tier 4 Caladrius Aerial Beast they were with, Nueire’s brother, seemed to be gobsmacked as he stared at the sheer size of his sister and those standing on top of her.
He knew none of them to be the Branch Leaders of the Galanis Bloodline, nor did he recognize any of the Gem Masters!
What did this mean?
"Are you all…from the Tier 5 Breach of Yendell?"
…!
A voice filled with conviction and power rang out as it was none other than Alexander’s.
Elder Dadarius briefly lifted his head from inspecting Claire as he looked over toward Alexander’s visage.
"Hmm? You know of our Gateway? That is so, human. But we don’t have time for this. Offer the girl beside you there, and the resources your force will receive increase multiple times over. You’ve made a great merit!"
His voice was robust.
Yet…
"I see."
The reply from Alexander was calm as it contained his anger deeply, his eyes shining with conviction as he leaned down on Nueire and touched its feathers while he turned to lock his gaze on the three Elven Beasts of Corruption!
"I will kill you all slowly. There is a great deal of information to obtain before you are granted death."
…!
Words that caused the pupils of the Elven Beasts of Corruption to constrict echoed out.
And an instant later…
"Scorch them."
A command came.
And…
BOOOM!
A storm of lightning instantly descended and covered all nearby surroundings.
ROAR!
From the distance, the 4 Minions by the gateway of the city finally roared out as they also made their entrance!
The gazes of the Elven Beasts of Corruption rapidly changed as their chests began to glow, Elder Dadarius looking ahead and bellowing out.
"You dare?! Do you know-...!"
BOOM!
A dense cluster of unstable lightning covered everything.
The bolts were like deadly tongues of scorching blue flames that smashed down, but the bodies of the Elven Beasts of Corruption swerved around valiantly as their bodies lit up!
They didn’t panic.
Their expressions were stern as from the Tier 5 Elder Dadarius…
"[Shrine of Life]"
…!
He voiced out coldly.
His chest shone with glory as around him, illusory green walls rose up to cover his figure and his compatriots, these walls gradually materializing and becoming more solid as they pulsed with an immense aura of life!
BOOM!
When the lightning crashed on them, the walls only trembled and held strong as inside of these walls, a bow appeared within Elder Dadarius’ hands that blazed with crimson radiance!
It was the eruption of a fight against an advanced Beast of Corruption- one who knew how to utilize their power very well!
