Chapter 266: 266:He Found Out
The convoy halted and then a vehicle carried him to the private jet
The guards swiftly formed a perimeter, ensuring that the area was secure as Evan emerged from the SUV. Dressed in a tailored black suit, he walked calmly, exuding authority. His sharp gaze flickered briefly toward the horizon before he boarded the jet\'s steps.
Once inside, the jet\'s luxurious cabin welcomed him with quiet elegance. Dark leather seats and polished wooden panels lined the interior. The soft hum of the engines filled the space as Evan settled into a seat. Outside, the guards gave a final nod before the aircraft\'s doors shut, and the jet lifted off, ascending rapidly above Utkal.
Once they had reached the cruising altitude, Evan leaned back and issued his first question.
"Is the airport on the Nicobar Islands ready?"
Aurora\'s smooth yet mechanical voice echoed softly through the cabin\'s speakers.
[Yes, Sir. Construction is 98% complete. The runways are operational, and hangars and fuel stations are in place. Some auxiliary facilities are still undergoing refinement. The control tower is online, and the security protocols are synchronized with Gamma OS.]
Evan nodded slightly, satisfied with the progress. He looked out the window, watching as the sprawling landscape below shrank into the clouds.
"And Jerkins? What\'s his status?"
[Jerkins is currently embedded within Indra\'s regional intelligence network, monitoring Rajput activities and recent troop movements. He has already neutralized two informants feeding data to hostile parties. As of now, he is awaiting your orders for the next stage.]
A cold smile crept across Evan\'s face. Everything was falling into place, just as he had planned. He tapped his finger rhythmically on the armrest, his mind calculating the next steps with precision.
"Good." He leaned forward slightly, a glint of anticipation in his eyes. "It\'s time."
His voice was low but carried an undeniable weight of certainty.
He had restrained himself from touching this matter for a long time, but now, he needed to finish it. After going through an evolution, he had started to realize some things that he overlooked.
That was the hollow regret in his heart.
Regret that despite knowing about his parents who loved him dearly, and keeping tabs on them, he still had done nothing. Also, who knew how many people might know about this in the background?
His blue eyes, inherited from his mother, had been expressed after evolution. Though quite beautiful, he had started to resemble his parents more which might make it easy for people in the higher power to take notice of.
So, before things got worse and others started threatening him with his parents, he had to set things right.
Aurora responded immediately. [Shall I initiate Operation Catching Mouse?]
Evan\'s smile deepened. "Do it."
[Confirmed. All teams in Dilli are standing by. Deploying the protocols now.]
As the jet soared through the sky, heading toward its destination, Evan\'s gaze remained fixed out the window, lost in thought. Every piece was in place. Now, it was only a matter of time before the trap was sprung, and those who had dared to oppose him would learn the hard way that there was no escaping in this game.
The operation had begun and it was time for the mouse to be caught and eliminated.

In Dilli…
The tension in Amit Sharma\'s office was suffocating. Papers were scattered across his large mahogany desk, but none of them held his attention. His brows were furrowed, teeth clenched, and his piercing gaze darted across the room, locking onto one of his staff.
"This is what you call a report? This is garbage!" Amit bellowed, slamming a folder onto the table. The junior employee flinched but said nothing, terrified of provoking him further. Amit\'s temper had been volatile for weeks, and every misstep from his team ignited another explosion.
"Do I have to do everything myself? Do you think this mess is acceptable? You all are useless!" he snapped, glaring at the group huddled in the room. Obsessed with micromanaging every trivial task, he had been ignoring his actual work and started berating his staff as if unleashing his frustration could somehow ease the anxiety gnawing at him.
Something was eating at him. It was a deep sense of unease, a gut feeling that things were slipping out of control. He could sense it. Something bad was about to happen, and it felt like an invisible hand was tightening its grip around him, squeezing with every passing second.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated on the desk. Amit stopped mid-rant, his sharp words hanging in the air. His expression darkened as he snatched the phone. One glance at the caller ID and his demeanor shifted immediately.
"Dismissed," he barked at his staff. They scattered without hesitation, grateful for the unexpected reprieve. As soon as they left, Amit raised the phone to his ear and settled back in his chair.
"What is it now?" he growled, rubbing his temple with irritation.
The voice on the other end belonged to the head of agents, but Amit didn\'t have the patience to listen to their long-winded reports.
"Just tell me if there\'s any good news. No need to get into petty details. I\'m not in the mood to hear your comp—"
"SIRRRRR!"
The loud, panicked scream on the other end of the line hit him like a slap, cutting his words short. Amit straightened, his heart skipping a beat.
"What happened? Why are you screaming?" he demanded, his tone sharp and wary.
The agent\'s voice trembled with urgency. "Sir, we have a major problem."
Amit\'s grip on the phone tightened. "What problem?" His brows furrowed, and the tension in his chest coiled tighter.
"Sir… he found out."
A chill ran down Amit\'s spine. His throat went dry. "What are you talking about? Who found out?"
"Mahajans… Sir… sir. They\'ve discovered that the one responsible for replacing Evan… And they\'ve already reached out to him. Today… they\'re preparing to take down everyone involved." Read latest stories on m_v-l\'e|-NovelBin.net
