Chapter 257: 257:Time To Move
Gulp!
Jerkins fidgeted slightly, feeling nervous due to the feeling radiating from Evan as he tried to gauge his mood.
He hadn\'t met Evan for long but since he knew the boss, he decided to skip the formality and flattery.
"Sir, are you gonna… make a move?"
"Hmm!"
"Isn\'t it a bit too early?" Jerkins asked, his brow furrowed in concern.
Evan remained silent, his gaze hardening into a vicious glare that made Roman\'s heart race.
"Sir, you know this is linked to Amit Sharma. He might respond violently once we make a move on him," Jerkins explained frantically, desperation creeping into his voice.
"And things might become worse. Cause taking down Amit Sharma means we will be in a direct standoff against the government party like a full-blown war," Roman interjected trying to advise.
"I know!"
The sharpness of Evan\'s narrowed eyes sent a clear message. Roman\'s breath was caught in his throat as he sensed the gravity of his words and the potential consequences of this path.
"Aren\'t you becoming a bit too courageous to ask me what I am going to do?" Evan\'s voice was low, his every word edged with a dangerous calm.
Roman and Jerkins felt a wave of regret, and they lowered their heads, panic flashing across his face. "I apologize," they muttered, not daring to raise their heads.
The room grew tense as Evan continued to stare at Roman, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes. After a moment, he chuckled softly, breaking the tension.
"It\'s okay. Having your thoughts is also good. I don\'t need puppets." Evan\'s smile returned, though it didn\'t reach his eyes. He gestured for Roman and Jerkins to stand.
As they straightened, Evan\'s mind began to churn with thoughts about their precarious situation.
Roman\'s words echoed in his head, prompting deeper reflection.
The current him held great power, but did he possess enough strength to take on entire countries? During his internal conflict with Indra, he had been confident that a war scenario would be minimized. He had no fear of nuclear weapons being dropped on him since he had carefully planned for that. But mobilizing an entire army against him could prove problematic.
One shouldn\'t be overly confident or assured. It was far better to be prepared and overestimate the enemy rather than underestimate them. The stakes were too high. Evan knew that every decision he made carried the weight of countless lives, futures, and the fragile balance they had built in Utkal.
Furthermore, if the political parties were removed hastily, Indra might get destabilized, which was an unwanted consequence.
"Jerkins," Evan said, his voice now steady and commanding. "We can\'t afford to act recklessly. Our approach must be strategic. If Amit catches wind of our intentions, he could retaliate in ways we won\'t be able to predict. We need to gather more intelligence and ensure that our plans are airtight before making any moves."
Jerkins nodded, relief washing over him. "Understood, Sir. I\'ll ensure our information network is tightened and increase surveillance on Sharma\'s movements."
"And we aren\'t making a move directly against Amit but the one behind him. It\'s time to poison those pesky rats. I can\'t let that rat run amok and bite others," Evan muttered, thinking about his parents.
He needed to settle things quickly. Honestly, it was painful to watch his mother being sad and crying from afar.
Evan stood, gazing out the window at the bustling cityscape beyond. The vibrant streets, filled with life and laughter, were a constant reminder of what was at stake. "We\'ll move when the time is right. Until then, let\'s focus on solidifying our foundation here. Strengthen our allies and ensure that our resources are secure. Those are our priorities."

After returning to the newly bought Villa, Evan settled into his private study. The walls were lined with monitors displaying various data feeds and updates from his organization. Activating the holographic interface, he summoned Aurora.
"Aurora, give me a status update on the thieves who stole the Quantum computer," he said, his tone brisk but curious.
[The thieves are still working to decode the Quantum computer, but the government organizations are struggling to fully harness its capabilities,] Aurora replied smoothly.
[They lack the necessary infrastructure and expertise to integrate Quantum technology effectively into their existing systems. The algorithms are complex, and many are using outdated frameworks that don\'t leverage the full power of our Quantum processor.]
Evan nodded while Aurora continued.
[Some are also too reliant on traditional methods. Quantum technology requires a different mindset and approach to problem-solving, and they haven\'t adapted.]
[As a result, we have an advantage. If we can get our hands on their attempts and refine them, we can leap ahead in our technological capabilities.]
Just as Evan was about to respond, his personal communication device chimed, cutting through the air. Aurora\'s voice piped up again. [It\'s an incoming call from Suri."]
Evan felt a spark of anticipation as he quickly activated the lens and connected to the VR world. The moment he did, the scene surrounding him transformed, and he found himself in a breathtaking landscape filled with vibrant colors and surreal elements.
Then, like a radiant sun emerging from behind clouds, Suri appeared, adorned in a stunning amber Phoenix gown that seemed to shimmer with every movement. The gown hugged her figure perfectly, accentuating her curves while cascading elegantly to the floor like flowing flames. Her hair, a cascade of soft waves, framed her face, glowing in the light. With striking features and an ethereal beauty, she radiated an aura of confidence and grace that took Evan\'s breath away every time he saw her.
For a moment, Evan was mesmerized, the world around him faded except Suri. He had never seen her look so enchanting. The gown\'s intricate designs and vibrant hues made her look almost otherworldly, almost like she had stepped out of a dream.
Unbeknownst to him, Suri was equally captivated. Evan\'s appearance was striking, his features more defined in the virtual realm, and the bluish hue emerging from his eyes gave him a magnetic allure that left her momentarily speechless. He looked more handsome than ever, with a refined charm that drew her in.
Both of them stood frozen like statues, lost in the moment as they admired each other until Aurora\'s grumpy voice interrupted the silence. [Ahem. If you two are done staring at each other like lovesick fools, perhaps we could get back to business?]
Embarrassment flushed their cheeks as they snapped back to reality. Evan cleared his throat, a grin breaking tugging at his lips as he tried to regain his composure. Suri followed suit, her cheeks still tinged with warmth as they exchanged a knowing glance.
"Right," Evan said, his voice steadying.
"Aurora, can you give us a moment alone?"
[Yes, Boss…]
