Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!

Chapter 125: Kyle Makes His Move.

Kyle wasn\'t willing—or rather, couldn\'t—take a life, even if he wanted to.

Jones and Calista had left the hospital, leaving Kyle alone to collect himself. The doctor came in and asked if Kyle needed anything else. One of the perks here was better meals.

"You know, I might have lied to everyone," Kyle blurted out, surprising the doctor.

"Pardon?" The doctor responded, but Kyle only smiled.

"Don\'t worry about it. Can I be discharged early?" Kyle asked, but the doctor was skeptical.

On paper, Kyle was fine and could be discharged today. But an extra day was just to be cautious. So, if the doctor did decide to discharge him early, he wouldn\'t be breaking any rules. Kyle had already established from their earlier conversation that the doctor could be swayed by money.

And that\'s exactly what Kyle was going to use. The doctor accepted without hesitation.

Kyle signed his release form, and he was out of there that night. He had something to do and couldn\'t risk dragging anyone else into it.

Mike would most likely be in hiding now, after learning that he had survived. But no one was coming after him. That was strange, considering the police must have spoken to Kyle. Yet, Mike\'s house was untouched. This told Kyle all he needed to know, and he decided to keep an eye on Mike.

Night had fallen, and Kyle left the hospital in the late hours. Given what had happened to him recently, one would think he would stay in the hospital until the sun rose. But Kyle booked an Uber, not to return to his apartment, but to a nearby hotel to spend the night. He didn\'t want anyone to know his location, knowing the chances of Mike knowing where he lived were high. Jane also seemed to be in contact with him, so there was a chance she might have slipped up.

Kyle didn\'t care about any of this, though. He knew he could use Jane to lure Mike out because there was no way Mike would make his move with Kyle still alive.

Mike planned to use Kyle\'s death to get closer to Jane—a shoulder to cry on is a dick to ride on, or so the saying goes. There was no way Jane wouldn\'t succumb emotionally at her lowest, even with Ella acting as an obstacle.

Mike didn\'t like Ella. He knew she was becoming a hindrance to his plans of conquering Jane. But why was Mike so obsessed with her? He wasn\'t an ugly man. He could easily find another woman if he truly wanted one. Yet, he remained fixated on Jane.

That was simple: Jane had shown him a side of herself that most women these days didn\'t have. She was modest. She didn\'t flirt with random men, nor was she all over social media begging for attention. She was content in her own little world, never acting out of character. But the real trust of it was that Mike needed her to feed his ego. He couldn\'t accept that the girl no one had conquered was being conquered by a man who had come out of nowhere.

He wasn\'t going to allow that. But it went deeper than that—killing another man over a woman was a bit over the top. Mike was a man who got off on technicalities after his sexual assault charges were dropped. But that was simple: he had threatened the woman and her family, and he was more than capable of carrying out that threat.

Mike had a small gang he rolled with, indulging in illegal activities, often including hits on rival gangs. However, no one knew about this side of his life because he had left it behind. But something about Kyle threatening to kill him made Mike feel disrespected. He had lived that life, so seeing some rich punk claiming he could take his life left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Mike wanted to show Kyle that he wasn\'t about that life, so he called a few of his contacts and decided to teach him a lesson. However, Kyle turned the situation around and forced Mike\'s hand. This was the only reason things had escalated to the current point.

It angered Mike that Kyle had managed to take control of a situation he should have had no control over. In a sense, Mike could argue it was self-defense because the people Kyle had offered to pay to "bash his head in" were going to kill him. One could say it was a kill-or-be-killed situation because Mike never brought Kyle out there with the intention of taking his life. His emotions got the best of him in that moment.

None of that mattered now. Mike had crossed a line, and he was about to find out how far Kyle was willing to go to correct that.

Kyle checked into an expensive hotel and walked to his room. But Kyle had also bought a low-end laptop from a random person he met in a café, spending approximately $1,500, an absurd amount but he planned to get rid of it the moment he was done. This was because he wanted to access things he didn\'t want tied back to him, even though the person who sold him the laptop had already formatted it.

Kyle had heard about the dark web before but never thought he would need to access it.

"Fight fire with fire…" Kyle muttered to himself with a sinister grin.
