Chapter 2025 Make Them
Chapter 2025 Make Them
Fluttering runes of light solidified around him.
"You should be thankful," Ryu said with an indifferent tone. "Normally, I wouldn\'t waste an attack like this on the likes of you. I normally wouldn\'t waste any words on you either.
"But you see, in the darkness there\'s this woman who thinks too much of herself. If I stay too silent, she might think that the likes of you actually has a right to stand on the same stage as me...
"When in reality...
"You were never worthy."
Ryu\'s blade slashed down.
The world was divided in two.
It could only be said that it was the simplest of any one of the attacks that Ryu had ever created. There didn\'t seem to be any profound truths; there was no overriding of the world or shocking overturn of reality.
It was just a single slash. Simple, and seemingly unadorned.
And yet it was this very same attack that made Blue Moon sense the scent of death.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn\'t move a single inch. His entire body was locked down as though the Heavens had descended with the purpose of killing him.
No... it was deeper than that. It wasn\'t just death.
It was Judgment.
In some ways, this was an even higher form of Trial. He could feel as though it was his Karma itself that was being locked down.
It was said that the Dream Wraiths could erase one\'s memories before passing one along to the other side.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
However... the passing into a next life wasn\'t as random as one might think. Many times, Karma was so important precisely because it could marginally change things around one\'s coming life.
The more you did in your life, and the more positive Karma you had, the better chance you had at living an easier life on the other side.
Ryu had already seen this through his lives. However, the problem was that the impact of Karma wasn\'t nearly as large as anyone seemed to think it was. If you wanted to impact your next life to a great degree, a few good deeds here and there weren\'t nearly enough,
But whether it was true or not didn\'t matter. What was important was that Blue Moon could feel like his next life was being decided right here and now, like Ryu had replaced the role and function of the Dream Wraiths and the Heavens themselves to pass Judgment on his own.
Those that he hated...
Didn\'t deserve life.
The slash that split the world appeared before Blue Moon in a blink. It looked as though it had slowly crossed through the distance, but the reality was that it was nigh instant, so fast and sharp in its movement that Blue Moon, who thought he was trapped in place, was actually just moving so slowly in relation to the attack that it only felt as though he was.
The strike cut into his body.
A line appeared down Blue Moon\'s face. His torso was cut into, and it looked as though his body was going to truly be cut into pieces right before everyone\'s eyes.
His phenomena certainly couldn\'t escape this Fate. It was split in two despite the fact the blade light never seemed to touch it in the first place.
However, as expected, just when it seemed Young Master Moon would die, there was a blinding flash of light.
Ryu took a casual step to the side, reading through it without the slightest change to his expression.
A beam of light reflected back at him, but other than rustling his hair and what remained of his robes a bit, there were no other changes whatsoever.
Blue Moon, on the other hand, stood frozen in the skies, a line of blood running down his body. Whether it was his skull or his lower extremities, nothing was safe.
He fell from the skies as a light enveloped him, shooting him off into the distance.
Ryu shook his head, exhaling a breath. He could feel a heaviness on his mind that wasn\'t there before.
Fatigue.
He shook his head.
Blue Moon and Falling Snow were powerful opponents. There was clearly something extra special about those that had broken through the ceiling of their world that others didn\'t have. Their Undefeatable Spirits had an extra tinge of power that wasn\'t normal.
The result was that their Daos seemed to stretch further than others did, and their power was more refined and sharper than it should have been.
But Ryu couldn\'t help but wonder why his Dao didn\'t have the same character to it. Why was it that his Dao, which had broken through the ceiling of a world more than just once, didn\'t carry the same benefits as the others did?
Ironically, the only explanation that Ryu could think of was that it was because... it was too easy for him. Maybe it was precisely because it was so easy that he didn\'t experience the same thing.
Others gained Undefeatable Spirits from taking this step, while he just took it as a casual action.
If there wasn\'t effort involved for him, then how could it help to refine his Dao Heart?
That said...
Was his Dao Heart weak?
Of course not.
So why couldn\'t he use his Dao Heart to allow this change to his Dao?
\'I see... They gained a subconscious understanding of how to do it through the difficult process, but I never experienced the same struggle, so my Dao Heart and Dao are
seen as two separate existences to me. When in reality...
\'I can make them one...!
BOOM!
The moment this realization overcame Ryu, his aura shot through the skies.
