Chapter 2053: Dinner Turned Meeting -Part 2
All Jin and the others could do was sigh at the pathetic state that those two talented individuals would be in. If they were enemies, it was a different story but they were all on the same side.
As much as it was seen that Kraft was playing a game of attrition with the Grand Sage, it was pretty obvious that the Royal Advisor was as strong or if not, stronger than their king. So, En Moy with Topharm closed their eyes and pretended that Grand Sage could be his equivalent while they all understood that Kraft was merely giving this particular Grand Sage some face.
Otherwise, his title could be thrown away and Kraft would have to wear that title with some shame. Yes, shame. The feeling of winning against a small fry in this world when Kraft knew that he was more than capable of doing more.
"You two stop fighting and just tell me what you have in mind. Mex." Jin also did not mention Mex\'s title because he was inferior to him but the Grand Sage did not seem to bother about it as much especially after the achievement of raising mages that were stronger than his disciples was a feat that could not be replicated through his own methods.
In fact, the Grand Sage coming here has his own reasons too.
"This. I had noticed one of the battle accessories that your Rifle and Commando Mages had brought with them...you called them grenades? I brought several samples that had been modified to cause the same amount of damage but with elemental attributes in it." Mex said and Jin picked it up.
"With Minister Topharm\'s assistance, I was able to procure a few of them and subsequently modified them." He added before opening a magical holographic screen just as Jin had done it. That was when the king realised that the Grand Sage had also replicated a magic eye spell by himself and used it to show videos his magic eye had created.
The video showed the explosive effects of the grenade being thrown and also the use of elemental attributes such as fire, ice, lightning, and even holy power.
"Urgh so boring." The both of them had the same thoughts and Jin believed that he could easily modify his improvised smithing capabilities of those robot arms to produce the very same thing too. Maybe, he might need some help from the various elemental mages but other than that, it was nothing too much of an eye opener.
Mex could see their deadpan expressions, trying to smile and be satisfied that the Grand Sage was able to take the initiative to do something like that. But when they looked closer at it, it was not just an elemental grenade attack. It was an elemental attack and later a grenade attack.
In short, there were two phases to the so called elemental grenade that Mex had created. That did give Kraft and Jin some food for thought but it was not the end for Mex\'s presentation.
"I know you two would not be very fascinated by this, so I created a few non elemental attributes." This made the other two a little more excited about the attributes that he was about to show but it was not until they saw the video that they were grabbing each other with surprised faces.
It was ...a phantasmal tentacle grabbing grenade.
The both of them had never seen such an effect before as the grenade popped to release loads of phantasmal tentacles from a pinpoint area aka the grenade, dragging whatever thing the tentacles believed they were alive and then the explosion happened.
"We like this!" Jin and Kraft said simultaneously more than the elemental damage grenades and somehow Mex eyes lit up. For someone strong to acknowledge his new product so fervently, made him feel great about himself. This is especially so when he had a long standing mind block for quite some time.
It was when he saw this piece of tube container filled with power that could destroy people or monsters into shreds that he somehow ignited his passion for creation once more.
It did not take long for the other two ministers to be interested as well, in fact, they were the ones who queried how Mex would be able to do mass production. That was when he said that his disciples were already on it doing the processes to make sure that the spell transfer to the grenades would be safe.
With that sweet gift out of the way, they finally started their discussion on the things they needed to settle. Obviously, with the possible encroachment of the other kingdoms coming to Ress being one of the issues at hand, Jin had then told them about the creation of flying objects to not just transport people but to transport items that had more poof compared to grenades.
"Imagine shooting down a large grenade that could replicate the power of a grade 10- erm I mean rank B kind of explosion without chanting the spell at all." Jin introduced but the rest were not interested in the large grenade and rather the ability to transport people.
The only person who managed to keep calm was Topharm for he had that knowledge drilled into him by Kraft. Yet, this did not mean that he was not excited by the prospect that it would be coming to Ress.
As much as the commando and rifle mage battalions had been trained to fly for long distance missions, stamina consumption would still be a problem. The bulk of the reason was that most of the rifle mages did not sacrifice their eyes or organs for a relic. They were all holding rings, earrings, or necklaces that enabled them to increase their magic computation and expand their efficiency.
That was also one of the distinctions as to why there were still the commando mages and the rifle mages. For only the elite of the most elite could have such a title.
Kraft and Jin subsequently showed the group their past yet modern knowledge not through the magic eye but through telekinetic experience. All of them even Mex did not expect to see an aeroplane much less to have a seat on it and fly upwards without the use of any magical powers.

"Of course, this is the most modern way of flying but the initial prototypes would probably be more noisy and shaky too," Jin said and the rest immediately approved of such a development.
"But for now, we will be mass producing those tanks first and later planes. As much as the trains can bring people and goods over huge distances, we are still building the tracks and people need to move around too." Jin said even though he initially wanted to get modern vehicles into this world too but decided not to.
There was a need to develop proper roads like the ones shown in the commoners\' residence but it would still be a long way to go for the rest of the capital city as well as the entirety of Ress.
That was why he decided to use tanks as a mode of transport. From those who did not have a big cannon at the top of it to those who were heavily armoured.
And thus Jin was aiming to spread a little more of those cannonless tanks and used them as transport vehicles. It was to substitute their horses and the tanks would pull carts too while being able to carry people.
So in a way, the roads will be filled with heavy mechanical horses pulling carts to ensure that people can be transported from one end to another.
Everyone of course approved that idea but they were worried there were not enough materials, asking whether Jin could come out of the dungeons for them to work.
The king nodded his head but with a condition.
