Scandal Supermodel

Chapter 37

An Xiaowan randomly entered a restaurant to have a meal, and she fished out her phone.

Xia Duo’s phone was still out of contact.

There was also nothing new coming from Sister Susan. It looked like her source of income was instantly cut off.

After she was done browsing for a while, she suddenly received a message.

“Hello, I am Zhu Qi, Director at Jicheng Media. I saw you during the audition of the Shuojin brand, and I think that your image is very suitable for the female lead character of our upcoming micro movie. If you are interested, please call back for a detailed discussion further.”

Jicheng Media?

An Xiaowan could not recall any media company with this name.

After searching on the internet, she found out that Jicheng Media was a startup comprising only ten employees. Furthermore, since they were in the business of micro movie production, they most likely would be tight on funds. This meant that she could not receive a high remuneration even if she took on the job.

An Xiaowan’s interest decreased further after noticing that the message did not even have the script attached to it.

Acting in a micro movie was not within her scope of work as a model. Hence, it would not be in her best interest to take on a non-modeling job before she rose to fame as a model.

It might become an even worse situation for her if she could not properly fit in any particular line of work, and she might end up like an online celebrity.

At that moment, Sister Susan called.

“There is a gathering at SV Clubhouse tonight. There will mainly be directors and producers, and many newbies are also invited. Why don’t you also go?”

An Xiaowan agreed to Susan’s suggestion.

Susan reminded her. “Be cautious though, a lot of things happen during such gatherings. Leave immediately if you feel something is wrong.”

“Don’t worry, Sister Susan. I will be careful.” Such gatherings are a type of casting couches in the industry. This is also a way for new celebrities to search for ‘opportunities’. An Xiaowan had been to such gatherings quite a few times. Though nothing reliable might come out of it, it is still possible for one to get in contact with many more people before leaving unscathed.

An Xiaowan arrived punctually at 7 pm.

She wore a black two-piece leather outfit and a pair of fitting pants, revealing her perfectly curvy figure, but also covering all her skin.

The room was filled with wine and women.

An Xiaowan tidied her hair a bit before opening the door and walking in.

She had a perfect figure, a pair of long legs, and extraordinary temperament and stunning looks. Right after she entered, she garnered the attention of many men, and their eyes were glued to her body and every movement.

Her charms paled the looks and temperament of many other women in the room in her comparison.

An Xiaowan’s every move was bewitching, coupled with her sensual looks, she was a rare beauty!

“Hello everyone,” An Xiaowan said with a smile.

“Come, sit here,” one of the producers said, reaching his hand out to her.

The lights were dim in the suite.

Others also sat down one after another, and rows of delicious food were served one after another.

At the same time, a woman sitting at the back also had her eyes locked on An Xiaowan, her gaze full of enmity.

An Xiaowan took a sip of juice and looked over with squinted eyes.

An Xiaowan saw a woman, in a racy outfit and thick makeup, lying in the arms of a man, who had expensive clothes on and was well-dressed. The woman’s outfit consisted of very little fabric, the skirt barely covered her buttocks, while the collar of her shirt was dangerously low. A big part of her snowy white skin was revealed in those clothes, attracting the gazes of the men in the room.

She looks… familiar!

An Xiaowan stared at her for a few seconds and then suddenly remembered who that woman was.

That was Wen Biyu!

What was a rich Young Lady like her doing here?

The man beside her looked like a Young Master of a rich and powerful family, at least one that was a few levels higher than the Wen Family in social hierarchy. Otherwise, Wen Biyu would not be so proactive, and neither would she look so nervous as if someone would snatch her prized possession.

An Xiaowan could not help but laugh.

Immediately after that, An Xiaowan alluringly bent over, taking a glass of wine from the table, as she gave a toast to the man beside Wen Biyu.
