Chapter 210: To The School Again
"Let\'s go!" she said in a low but clear voice.
David ran the car again while lighting a cigarette because he wanted to smoke again.
Isabel didn\'t change her expression just because he was smoking. It seemed that she had no opinion about a man who smoked.
"By the way, why are you wearing glasses now? Are your eyes minus?" David asked her.
A change in a person is something that makes it easy to start a conversation.
Isabel spontaneously touched her glasses at being asked about it.
"No, my eyes are still normal, but I prefer this style," she replied before resting her head on her hand resting on the car door.
"Do you want to look more mature?" David laughed at her answer.
It seemed like she really wanted to be like that.
"Yeah!" Isabel didn\'t argue with that.
"It\'s just like you started smoking," she added causing David to roll his eyes.
He chose not to speak anymore and enjoyed his cigarette.
Every smoke he exhaled into the window so as not to affect the scent of this car or Audrey would get angry by insinuating it constantly.
The trip to their high school didn\'t take too long.
It was also in front of the main road, in a large open area with a large building in the center.
This high school was very large, having many students where they wore uniforms consisting of a white shirt and blue pants or skirt.
It was break time, so the students were wandering around the school.
David felt familiar because it hadn\'t been too long since he graduated.
The current 3rd year students were only one year younger than him. They still looked the same age as him, just had a much younger aura.
When a rather unfamiliar car suddenly pulled into the schoolyard, the students became rather curious. .net
David couldn\'t park his car too far away as there were too many students blocking the way.
In the end, he stopped it in the area where the students were gathered.
As soon as he turned off the car engine, Isabel got out of the car, instantly attracting attention, then causing shock.
She was the most popular student, the other students naturally recognized her.
Perhaps she was familiar with quite a few of them.
When Oliver got off the car, he was also noticed.
The features on his face made the female students look at him curiously.
From the looks of it, they seemed to be aware that he was also an alumnus like Isabel. They just weren\'t familiar with him because he never joined their group.
All they knew was that he was the type who rarely interacted, preferring to be alone.
However, it was surprising that someone who was usually alone came with Isabel to this school.
How could that be?
They imagined Isabel finally having a boyfriend after graduating from high school.
The guy who became her boyfriend might be a guy she met at university or among the popular students at this school, but as it turned out, he was with a loner student.
Of course, they had to admit that David was very attractive.
His attractiveness seemed to be even more striking now.
If he was still a student in this school with such attractiveness, some female students thought that they might approach him personally.
Perhaps Isabel had done that.
"Isabel, long time no see!" Suddenly someone approached Isabel and greeted her.
It was a young-looking female student with bright blonde hair in a ponytail.
She was very beautiful with a face that looked excited and a body that gave the impression of being agile, like she was good at dancing.
Comparing who was more beautiful between her and Isabel was not easy. What was clear was that she had definitely now replaced Isabel as the most popular girl in this school.
Her name was Bella.
Only, she was not a good woman like Isabel, which was why David had no interest in her despite her beauty.
She likes to change boyfriends until there are rumors that she once dated a teacher.
"Bella!" Isabel immediately greeted her back because they were familiar.
The two even shook hands.
"I heard you were going to do a presentation, is that true?" asked Bella.
"Yeah..." Isabel nodded.
"Great, you\'re such a smart student, it\'s only been a short while since you graduated from high school, you\'re already involved with such a big project," said Bella, looking pleased with Isabel\'s achievement.
Unlike Isabel, she was just pretty, but lacked achievement.
"I\'m only involved because I\'m the student of the project leader. Even without me, it would still run smoothly," Isabel replied, not trying to boast about her achievements.
"Your teacher wouldn\'t have involved you if it weren\'t for your intelligence," Bella replied with a smile.
She only seemed more pleased with Isabel\'s achievement.
Her friendship with Isabel was pure, so there were no feelings of jealousy and so on.
After that, Bella looked at David curiously, then looked at Isabel again, showing a strange expression.
"Isabel, are you dating him now?" she asked in a low voice and continued before Isabel replied, "it seems that our tastes in choosing men are indeed very different. This man is very aloof, I\'m sure he\'s not pleasant, but that\'s probably a personality that suits you better. However, I must admit that he is very handsome, you must be happy with him, right?"
As she said that, she winked her eyes to tease Isabel.
Little did she know that David heard everything she said.
He couldn\'t help but knit his brows at being called unpleasant by that woman.
Isabel seemed at a loss as to how to respond as Bella jumped to the conclusion that they were dating.
Although they had indeed made love, they were not officially dating.
Under ordinary circumstances, Isabel found it not difficult if she denied her relationship with David, but now she somehow felt more favorable to the notion that they were indeed dating.
She glanced at David, wanting him to engage in conversation.
Actually, she didn\'t need to hope that.
He took the initiative to approach her, then said, "it\'s crowded here, how about we go somewhere else?"
Being stared at continuously by so many people, David felt like he was a rare monkey in a zoo. That was why he wanted to go somewhere else while waiting for the presentation event to start.
As for his relationship with Isabel, it was undisputed and did not need to be explained. After all, he also preferred them to officially date as long as Isabel turned a blind eye that he had other women.
Isabel agreed to go somewhere else.
She said to Bella, "we should probably meet the teachers first, just wait until the event starts."
There happened to be some teachers coming out of the office building. Isabel picked up the pace as soon as she saw them so David lagged behind a little.
He then followed behind her.
When he passed Bella, the young woman suddenly nudged his hand, making him look at her.
When their gazes met, she winked her left eye.
"Hehehehe..." She laughed softly that only he could hear.
After that, she shook her hair before taking a step away.
David showed a strange look because of her actions, but knowing her reputation, he didn\'t find it strange if she spontaneously took a teasing action.
This did not mean there was any particular intention. Someone who is used to doing it might just do it without any particular reason, just a spontaneous desire.
David acted unconcerned. He continued to follow Isabel who was called by the teachers.
When Isabel arrived in front of the teachers, they started chatting with her, asking about her life at university.
The most favored student would of course get a friendly treatment when returning to school, unlike David who was only stared at a few times.
In the end, none of the teachers got along with him.
Perhaps their treatment would have been different if they knew that he was the younger brother of the woman who discovered the cure for cancer.
After a while of chatting, they finally invited Isabel to start the presentation, telling of her experiences at university.
This was held in the schoolyard, which was quite comfortable even for sitting.
As the speaker, Isabel is welcomed onto a lectern that is high enough that her figure can be seen from all directions.
She spoke using a microphone that could be heard throughout the school.
Here, David was not really needed so he could only watch from the corner.
Most students were really interested in Isabel\'s experience, so they focused on her.
