Chapter 207 - 203: Roy Lewis, aren’t you afraid that I will take your hundred billion dollars’ worth of property?
Timmy raised his head, deeply looked at his dad, and then glanced at Richelle Dunn, snorted, and said.
“I’m pretty well-behaved, but Daddy, you are not!”
Roy Lewis also looked at Richelle, who was curled up in a corner like a cooked shrimp, feeling more and more itchy in his heart.
However, itchiness was one thing, but given the current situation, he had to endure it!
Roy Lewis retracted his gaze, ignored his son’s words, and gently touched Timmy’s forehead with his own.
“Baby, go change your clothes; we have to go out.”
Timmy knew that his dad was annoyed by his presence, and he snorted again, not saying anything. He crawled out of his dad’s arms, slid down to the ground like an eel, put on his shoes, and ran out with a clickety-clack sound.
Inside the bedroom, there were only him and Richelle Dunn left.
Seeing her son running out, Richelle shrank back, trying to move out of Roy Lewis’s restrictive grasp just like her son had done.
But this beanbag sofa was soft, and as she moved, the edge gradually sank. Roy Lewis, who was supporting himself with his hand on the edge, had already touched her knee with his own, and his upper body was about to fall on top of her.
She was so nervous that she couldn’t even breathe, just staring with wide, panicked eyes as Roy Lewis’s smiling face got closer and closer.
Roy Lewis didn’t expect that the usually arrogant and domineering Richelle Dunn could also have such an innocent and foolishly at a loss moment. He just thought that she was so cute that he wanted to keep her in his pocket, and whenever he wanted to admire her beauty, he could just take her out and carefully examine her.
Of course, he understood that such thoughts were quite perverted and should only be entertained in his mind, never to be acted upon.
“Was it you who told Timmy that I was not well-behaved?”
In comparison, Roy Lewis seemed much more at ease than the flustered Richelle Dunn.
Richelle Dunn’s face was steaming red, and when she heard his baseless accusation, she got annoyed and said disdainfully.
“Timmy is not blind. Do I need to say whether you are well-behaved or not?”
Roy Lewis blinked, and “Oh”ed.
Then he apologized very seriously, “I’m not very well-behaved, so how do you want to punish me? You decide.”
Richelle Dunn was a little bit stunned by his good attitude, looked at him with wide eyes.
“Huh? How to punish you? Kneeling on durian peels?”
Roy Lewis’s eyes showed a hint of a smile, “Is it really that cruel?”
Richelle Dunn had never punished anyone before. As for kneeling on durian peels, it was just a meme on the internet, and she guessed nobody would be foolish enough to actually do it.
“You say it then, how should you be punished?”
Richelle Dunn’s attention was gradually diverted from the matter of “how to punish,” and the redness on her face slowly subsided.
Roy Lewis saw her gradually returning to normal and felt a little regretful, but he understood that it would be harder for him to resist the temptation to commit a crime with such a sober-minded Richelle.
At the moment, he could not afford to overestimate his self-control.
Therefore, he needed her to be sensible in preventing his possible loss of control.
“How would I know? If you can’t think of anything, I’ll owe you for now.” Richelle Dunn looked at him sideways, “Owing first? No guarantee…” Roy Lewis quickly agreed, supported himself, and stood up from the sofa. He turned and walked to the coffee table on the side of the small living room, took out a pen and paper from the drawer, and wrote for a while. He walked over and handed the paper to Richelle Dunn.
“An IOU, for you!”
Richelle Dunn took a look and saw a line of powerful words written on it.
[IOU: Roy Lewis owes Richelle Dunn one punishment or Richelle Dunn can make any request at any time; duration: unlimited.]
Seeing him so serious, Richelle Dunn couldn’t help but tease him.
“Don’t you need to write the reason?”
Roy Lewis gave a flattering smile, “Dr. Dunn, can you give me some face?”
Richelle Dunn laughed, “Alright, let’s keep it this way.”
Richelle Dunn folded the note and put it into her laptop bag, all the while teasing him.
“Roy Lewis, aren’t you afraid I’ll take your hundred billion dollars’ worth of property?”
But Roy’s expression didn’t change at all as he laughed.
“A gentleman’s word can’t be taken back. Money is just money. If you want it, I’ll offer it up with both hands.”
Richelle raised her eyelids and glanced at him with a faint smile, “I hope you won’t regret it!”
Roy nodded earnestly, “I’ll never regret anything when it comes to you.”
As far as Roy was concerned, he had always followed his heart when it came to dealing with Richelle. And since his choice came from the heart, he had no regrets.
The heat had already faded from Richelle’s face, but it blushed again at his serious, confession-like words.
Fearing falling into another mysterious trap, she stuffed her laptop into her bag, quickly packed up, and stood up.
“I’ll be in the living room waiting for you and Timmy.”
It seemed as if both Richelle and Roy had taken it for granted that they would have dinner at her house.
It was as if the Lewis house was merely a place for the three of them to rest and sleep.
The sun had set, and it was time to go home for dinner.
The trio returned to Richelle’s home before dinner, and Timothy and Tifanny didn’t hide the fact that Grandpa Clarkson had come. Timothy even pointed to the gifts still placed in one corner of the sofa for Richelle and Roy.
“Mommy, Uncle, those are the gifts big brother’s Granddad Clarkson gave us.”
Timothy was afraid the gifts were too expensive, and uncertain if they could accept them.
Richelle merely glanced at them, then touched Timothy and Tifanny’s faces and nodded.
“Hmm, accept them. After all, it’s Grandpa Clarkson’s heartfelt gesture.”
Roy was somewhat surprised since, in the beginning, Richelle had rejected his gifts multiple times, only gradually learning not to give showy but impractical presents.
But those gifts on the sofa were clearly very expensive, and it seemed Grandpa Clarkson wanted to win the children’s hearts with a generous outpouring of wealth.
“Richelle…”
She looked at him and asked calmly.
“Or, do you think we shouldn’t accept them?”
How could Roy dare to say such a thing? If he did, he’d be done for.
“No, of course, we should.”
He was just worried that Grandpa Clarkson might have some ulterior motives.
Both he and Richelle were adults and alert to any schemes, but Timothy and Tifanny were different.
They were just innocent, defenseless children, and if they fell into Grandpa Clarkson’s trap, it would be a real problem.
As he had been fretting about the best approach, Timmy spoke.
“Daddy, I think Grandpa Clarkson really likes my little brother and sister, and that’s why he brought so many gifts. Since it’s Grandpa Clarkson’s heart, it would be sad if my brother and sister didn’t accept it.”
Timmy knew what was going on, so he understood how his mom and siblings felt.
And he thought his brother and sister should accept these gifts since they deserved to receive love and affection.
When his precious son said this, Roy immediately reflected on himself.
The gifts had to be accepted, otherwise, what would Timothy and Tifanny think if they were returned?
What would Richelle think?
As for Grandpa Clarkson, it was his job to deal with him.
If he couldn’t handle even this simple matter, how could he protect Richelle and her children in the future?
