Chapter 611: 605: Don’t Take it Out Anymore

After all, and perhaps unhappily, the words were of her own design, and seemed to ring true.

“I approached you for help based on our friendship, but 50,000 star credits? Are you making outrageous demands? Do you understand how many mercenary squads 50,000 star credits can hire to escort the royal family member to the vicinity of the Milky Way star sector?” Dunn Monty suddenly interjected.

Finn glanced at Monty. While the two have been at odds, Finn knew Monty was trying to diffuse the situation for Jasmine. Otherwise, she would have been unable to respond to his outrageous statement. Although her embarrassment has been shifted, it was diminished.

“Then why didn’t you hire them?” Jasmine retorted, raising her eyebrows at Monty and then turning back to Finn, “Minimum 30,000.”

“Don’t even think about it, 10,000. If you agree, you can take it right now,” Monty said, waving a stack of star credits in front of Jasmine.

“You-“, Jasmine arose from her seat abruptly.

“Wait,” Finn interrupted, calling a halt to the two straining against each other. He had no intention of causing trouble for Jasmine. Even though she was a pirate, destroying Earth wouldn’t be a difficult task for her. Even under the protection of the regulatory agency, no fleet was stationed near Earth.

If she really wanted to cause damage, she could easily destroy Earth. All she would have to do is hurl a few asteroids at it. Finn was sure she had the capability to do this.

“Why don’t we sit down, have a cup of tea? Is there tea here?” Finn suggested, glancing at all the parties involved.

“What type of tea would you like?” Jasmine asked hesitantly, but it was clear she didn’t want to cause trouble for Finn either. She also knew that Finn wasn’t carrying that much money with him.

“Nevermind, I’m not used to drinking other teas at the moment. Let’s drink this,” said Finn. He took out a box of Yun Wu tea. He didn’t know if others would recognise it, but he was accustomed to drinking Yun Wu tea. The tea had become incapable of detoxifying his body anymore, but the subtle benefits to his body still prevailed.

“Let’s not bring out things from the primitive planet,” Jasmine grimaced but still received the tea box from Finn. She took the box and upon opening it, her facial expressions shifted.

“Is this Yun Wu tea?” Jasmine asked Finn in disbelief after staring blankly at him.

“Yes,” Finn responded, nodding to assure Jasmine’s incredulity.

“There’s no way Earth could possibly have this,” Commented Jasmine, “And you’re using it to drink tea?”

“Any problems?” Finn asked with a raised eyebrow.

Jasmine almost spat out a mouthful. Given the fact that Yun Wu tea has its efficacy regardless of how it’s consumed, its most useful attribute is extractable and is used in preparing top-notch gene modification solutions. This box contains possibly three units of genetic modification liquid; each of which can lengthen an individual’s lifespan by at least five hundred years. Now it’s being used to brew tea?!”

After subduing her astonishment, Jasmine could not figure out Finn’s intentions. Monty and Thomas Calvin weren’t remotely close to being Finn’s support, and they had no reason to deceive her. As for Monty, Jasmine trusted him. Jasmine became aware of Monty’s recent contact with Finn and the events that unfolded when boarding the spaceship verified that Monty had not been interacting with Finn often.

Therefore, the tea must have been manipulated by Finn. He’s nothing more than a reincarnation of the royal family. Despite his Nine-Star royal lineage, being reincarnated on such a primitive planet would’ve blocked all external contact even with the oversight agency actively participating. If his identity was evident, the already-hostile oversight agency would have acknowledged it as a violation. Jasmine found herself at a loss.

Finn retrieved the tea box from Jasmine and brewed his own tea. Jasmine sipped it after a moment’s hesitation. When she finished drinking, Finn blurted out that he could offer her 500,000 star credits.

Jasmine spat out the tea in her mouth. “What did you say?” She asked, amazed.

“I said I can give you 500,000 star credits.” Finn looked at her casually, then repeated the sentence softly.

“500,000, are you sure?” Jasmine’s face was full of surprise. Although Finn had constantly stated that he is rich, this was an outright absurdity.

“I’m sure.” Finn nodded.

“What are your conditions?” She glanced seriously at Finn.

“No conditions, just get me to the Milky Way star sector,” Finn responded, shrugging.

“I don’t believe it.” Jasmine projected a wary look and remarked, “500,000 star credits for a simple request? Monty was right about the 10,000 star credits. I was ready to agree to it because I knew he was right. Even a few thousand star credits would draw many mercenary groups to carry Finn to the Milky Way star sector.”

Now, Finn had raised the initial price fiftyfold, shocking Jasmine. This huge number, 500,000 star credits, was not a small figure. It was enough for her to buy a brand new interstellar battleship and fill it with all the ammunition it needed.

“I really don’t have any conditions. ” Finn looked at her and smiled.

“Your asking price is unreasonable.” Jasmine shook her head.

“Is it a crime to give you money to spend?” Finn was somewhat lost for words.

“I still don’t believe it.”

“Alright, just think that I’m smitten with you, alright?” Finn shrugged, finishing his tea.
