Chapter 108 - 106: Excitement

“But! There’s an issue. I know many of you have been working here for several years, some for over a decade, and even some of the older engineers have dedicated about twenty to thirty years. You all have a deep attachment to this place. But I believe everyone is aware of the current state of the HyperCraft brand and understands the previous decision made by the Flying Horse Company.” Finn Lewis paused. The faces of every person in the room reflected contemplation.

They were the workers and engineers who built these cars, so they knew the state of their brand better than anyone else. “Now, I have an announcement to make. After it’s made, if anyone wishes to leave, I won’t stop you. I will provide compensation according to the laws of the Achievement Country union,” Lewis stated.

Seeing that no one responded, Lewis continued, “I purchased the HyperCraft brand with exactly 500 million Federal coins. But I can frankly tell you all that the HyperCraft brand means nothing to me! I didn’t aim for the brand when I made this purchase. I aimed for every worker, every engineer, and this factory here. You all are the most precious treasure here. As for the HyperCraft brand, it is meaningless. Moreover, I can tell you, although I spent 500 million Federal coins to buy HyperCraft, I bought it without planning to have this brand appear in this world ever again.”

With Lewis’ words still hanging in the air, the room filled with murmurs of surprise, their faces full of disbelief. They felt comforted by Lewis’ words but they dared not believe them. After all, who would throw away something they bought for 500 million Federal coins?

“Perhaps you don’t believe me, but I’ll soon show you why I said this. First, I

bought this factory with the intention of it becoming a renowned leader in the auto industry. Just as Microsoft is to the operating system, people will think of our factory when they think of cars! I will guide you in building the world’s most advanced and excellent cars! Perhaps you don’t believe this either, but don’t worry, you will soon. The production and design blueprints for the new cars are already here,” Lewis said nonchalantly.

Without waiting for any reactions, Lewis asked Fishy Wells to connect her laptop to the projector in the meeting room. After all the windows were closed and the projector was turned on, an image of a car with a very steady design appeared. The design, based on Zero’s blueprints, wasn’t too different from most cars available now but it was standing out and unforgettable.

This was because there were virtually no visible gaps on its surface. It looked like it was made directly in Photoshop, but it gave off a strangely realistic feel. The metallic texture was very strong and left a deep impression. There was also the impressive logo on the hood – a butterfly. Nobody could miss it!

The wings were blue with white stripes – a butterfly! People with a bit of Imowledge instantly recognized it as the famous, most beautiful, and rarest butterfly in the world – the Goddess of Light Butterfly, also known as Helena Flash or Danube Butterfly. But that wasn’t the most important part. The emblem could be any shape, but no one can reproduce this logo as lifelike. Although only in a photo, everyone could tell that it looked as if a real Goddess of Light butterfly were perched on the hood of the vehicle.

The choice of this logo was for another task. Originally, Lewis was not planning to enter the automotive industry. But the insult he had received from Flying Horse the day before made up his mind – he was determined to acquire Flying Horse! Of course, he knew that Flying Horse wasn’t just available for purchase whenever he wanted. What if they weren’t willing to sell?

Then only one other solution was left – bankrupt them first, then buy. What do you think of this idea? Just because your brand is famous and has a long history, doesn’t mean it’ll always have a market. The car that Lewis produced now, named after the Goddess of Light, if it were to be mass-produced, he could guarantee that car manufacturers around the world would go bankrupt.

“Next, I’d like to mention the performance of this car,” Lewis switched the slide. When the German explanation of the car design appeared on the projector, there was an uproar below. An older engineer stood up and raised his hand.

Lewis gestured for him to speak, “Mr. Lewis, forgive my directness, but are you sure that this car performance isn’t designed for a car from the future? As far as I know, such a car doesn’t exist.” Being an experienced car design engineer, the older man knew how outrageous these performance indicators were.

“Sir, I know what you’re talking about. However, this relates to another thing I mentioned before. Firstly, I didn’t buy this car manufacturing factory for making a profit, but as a personal car manufacturer for me and my family. The cars you produce will only be used by me. So, I only seek for it to be the best and highest quality, regardless of its price or marketability. As for what you said, I could only tell you that every technology required is available as a finished product in my lab. And the first car of its kind will be born right here, in your hands,” Lewis responded with a smile.

After Lewis explained, an even greater uproar ensued. Some engineers even stood excitedly, which was no exaggeration. Being able to remain involved in the industry for many years proved that they loved designing and producing cars. They were true industry enthusiasts. The car Lewis had proposed was simply…as the older engineer had said, a car from the future!

“All the necessary materials will be transported here tomorrow. In addition, I hope everyone can keep it a secret! Also, for those who want to leave the company, Mr. Truman Dale will handle the related procedures for you,” Lewis

said directly..
