Chapter 136
Pretending that she didn’t know.
Xie Xinglin glanced at her expression of refusing to admit defeat and pretending to have amnesia, and the corner of his lips was faintly raised, “Bitten by a little kitten at home.”
“……”
Su Qiuge was a little unhappy as she said, “Then that little kitten must have pretty good teeth.”
Xie Xinglin followed the topic and said, “Yes, and the appetite isn’t small either.”
“So the hair is quite smooth and feels pretty good. It’s just that the four limbs are too short.”
After thinking for a moment, he unhurriedly added, “It looks rather silly.”
Su Qiuge:“……”
Speechless.
She ignored him and lowered her head to play with the little crown from the escape room. As she played with it, she thought about stuff from the past and felt that her memories of the past were getting fuzzier and fuzzier.
She wasn’t paying attention and the little crown fell, rolling directly to Xie Xinglin’s feet.
Xie Xinglin noticed the little thing that had rolled to his feet, then raised his eyes to look at Su Qiuge, as if to watch what she was going to do.
Xie Xinglin had just called her limbs short in a roundabout way, so Su Qiuge definitely wasn’t going to take the initiative to ask him for help. As a result, she gritted her teeth and directly bent down to pick it up. But who would’ve imagined that because her arm was really too short, she couldn’t reach it no matter what.
After a while, she heard a very light “tsk” from above, as if sneering at her.
Su Qiuge felt incredibly unconvinced, so she took a deep breath and used more strength to push herself forward to reach the little crown. She expended a great deal of effort to lean forward on her stomach and after struggling for a long time, she started to feel a little temperamental. She abruptly raised her head and said to Xie Xinglin, “Can you kick it over?”
The space inside was originally small and when she raised her head, she suddenly realized that the distance between Xie Xinglin and herself seemed to be a little too close.
At this moment, the Ferris wheel was still spinning and their glass cockpit had almost reached its peak. It leveled with the bright and multicolored lights in the sky and in the dark night, it was as if they had fallen into the Milky Way.
The brilliance of the neon lights shone down and the beauty caused one’s heart to speed up.
Xie Xinglin looked down at her. His eyes were slender and sharp, and when he lowered them to look at someone, it gave others an illusion of extraordinary warmth and gentleness. The light from outside was reflected onto the bottom of his black eyes, as if a cold flame was ignited within the dark night.
Su Qiuge stared at him blankly.
After a good while, Xie Xinglin lifted his red lips and fixedly stared back at her.
“The way you’re looking at me, it’s as if……”
He lowered his eyes to look at her and said in a low and husky voice, “You’re asking for a kiss.”
His words were said with a lot of energy and when it fell into a person’s ear, it was enough to make half of their bones soften.
Su Qiuge’s complexion turned red and she was about to retreat a step and stand up, but at this moment, a streak of fireworks appeared outside of the glass cockpit they were in on the Ferris Wheel. That firework dragged a long, golden tail before it suddenly bloomed within their line of sight, creating a scene of gold against the velvety black sky.
Su Qiuge was startled by this unexpected surprise as her legs softened and she fell forward. She watched herself plunge towards Xie Xinglin’s embrace and quickly reacted by putting her hand on his thigh for support.
Yet, at this moment, Xie Xinglin happened to faintly raise his chin and felt a soft touch brush against the corner of his mouth.
It flashed by, resembling a feather that landed for a moment before shyly drifting away.
He lowered his eyes and his Adam’s apple faintly rolled on his slender neckline. He stared at Su Qiuge’s lips and his gaze darkened a little.
She seemed to have noticed it too. She bit her lips and looked at him at a loss.
The sound of fireworks exploded outside, but it felt especially quiet inside.
His eyes reflected the brilliant and radiant fireworks outside, resembling lanterns and fireworks blossoming against the surface of a serene sea. But large waves appeared on this usually motionless sea due to the sudden intrusion of another person, exposing its gloomy and dangerous true identity. It seemed like something was growing within.
The boy’s face was reflected in Su Qiuge’s eyes. His well-defined features were illuminated by the flashes of lights passing by outside.
It was truly beautiful.
Then Su Qiuge stared at Xie Xinglin’s faintly curled lips in a daze. She watched as the tip of his tongue heedlessly swept across the corner of the mouth that she had just accidentally kissed.
