Chapter 523
The next moment, the blue screen containing the details of the skill faded into nothingness. Aakesh didn’t stop since a few skills were still left for Aakesh to learn.
Aakesh then tapped on the following new skill. The next moment, a new blue window appeared on the top of Lily’s status screen, containing the details of the new skill in golden fonts.
Time flew by.
[Skill name: Annihilation of the World,
Level: Level 1,
Ability: The skill allows the owner to engulf the world in darkness and then completely destroy the area covered in the darkness,
Element: Darkness & Destruction,
Limitation:
The darkness could only cover the distance of a billion miles around the owner.
It takes time to activate, and the owner could only trigger it if there aren’t any other active skills. If the owner lost their concentration for even a moment, they would have to restart.
Condition for growth: Bloodline Growth,
Cooldown: Thirty hours.]
Aakesh nodded in appreciation, learning the details of the skill, Annihilation of the World. It was the most destructive skill Lily had at this phase, despite it only being Level 1.
Aakesh could also see the benefit of the skills rewarded by the system from all the skills Lily had.
Lily didn’t have a single skill that even came close to the amount of destruction the Apocalyptic Blast could create, and yet, Lily’s skills had a cooldown, whereas the Apocalyptic Blast had none. Aakesh could shoot as many energy balls as he wanted. It only depended on his energy capacity, which seemed endless.
Lily had gotten a gem of offensive skill in the form of Annihilation of the World despite a thirty-hour cooldown.
The skill demanded Lily’s control in two elements, and both were supreme ones.
Lily was born with the ability to control the element of darkness while mixing with Aakesh’s bloodline resulted in Lily gaining the ability to control the element of destruction.
Aakesh could sense that if Lily were to activate the skill, even the Void beasts would feel danger for their lives in its range.
Aakesh then stopped thinking about the Annihilation of the World and returned his focus to the screen.
Aakesh thought of the window disappearing, and not long after, it faded into nothingness.
Aakesh’s eyes then fell on the skill section, only to notice the number of new skills Lily had received after the breakthrough had come to an end. Aakesh was going to make Lily’s status screen disappear when he noticed that one of Lily’s old skills was shining with a blinding light.
Aakesh wanted to know the reason behind it, so he tapped on the shining skill. The next moment, a new smaller blue window containing the details in golden font appeared on the top of Lily’s status screen.
[Skill name: Time Displacement:
Level: Level 1 (middle),
Ability: This skill allows the owner to return back to a fixed time with all the knowledge and power.
Cooldown: 29 days,
Drawback: Currently, the time could only be set fifty minutes before,
Condition for growth: Level 8.]
Aakesh nodded after reading the details of the skill, Time Displacement.
Aakesh remembered that Lily had gained this skill after her sudden traumatic breakthrough due to the Epochal Felines bullying her in the virtual training.
Time Displacement had set Lily apart from other Epochal Felines since it gave her a way to break the limitations on their lifespans of only one Epoch.
Unlike the newer skills, this skill was Level 1(intermediate), even after an increase in its level, showing the grade of the skill.
After the upgrade, the time by which Lily could return to the past had grown to fifty minutes, which was only five minutes when the skill’s level was an inferior Level 1.
Fifty minutes may not mean very much in the life of creatures who could live for countless years, but these fifty minutes could completely change the dynamics of a situation.
The cooldown of the skill had also reduced to 29 days, in comparison to 30 days when its level was an inferior Level 1.
Aakesh then stopped thinking about the skill as the greater the amount of time Lily could return back with her complete knowledge and power, the better for him. Aakesh wanted nothing more than Lily’s safety.
Aakesh then thought of the skill screen disappearing. The next moment, it faded into nothingness, entirely disappearing from Aakesh’s sight, only to return when Aakesh called it again.
Aakesh’s eyes then fell on Lily’s status screen. Since there was nothing more for Aakesh to learn, he thought of his status disappearing.
The next moment, Lily’s status screen assimilated into Aakesh’s status window, and then it faded into nothingness.
“You’ve earned a lot from this breakthrough,” Aakesh smilingly commented as he looked at Lily, still busy checking her gains after the breakthrough.
“You can say so,” Lily mindlessly replied since she had still a lot left to check.
Aakesh then stopped disturbing Lily and let her check her growth due to the breakthrough.
His eyes then fell on Autumn and Katrina, busy in their discussions. Sometimes even Aakesh felt dumbfounded by just how much content the duo had since they had been continuously chattering with each other whenever they weren’t in the practice match.
Even though more than one hundred and eighty years had passed, it still didn’t look like they had run out of topics for any further conversation.
Autumn and Katrina’s conversation came to a sudden halt as they sensed a familiar gaze.
They turned around and looked at Aakesh, only to find that he was looking at them.
‘Don’t tell me he wants to fight again!’
‘Don’t tell me he wants to fight again!’
Autumn and Katrina thought at the same time. They then looked at each other. A wry smile escaped their mouths as they could sense that they both had thought the same thing.
Aakesh had a purpose behind looking at the duo, so he took a step forward to proceed in their direction.
Instead of him moving, the space around him moved, so only after five steps, Aakesh reached the duo. It was one of the skills Aakesh had learned from Katrina.
“I am not going to fight you again,” Katrina told Aakesh since she was in no mood to fight Aakesh.
