Chapter 319 - The Mackey Family
Chapter 319: The Mackey Family
As usual, the first group of 150 customers had a golden light surrounding them, marking them different from other customers.
The members of the Esh clan were also in the group of the crowd, and three of them had even got entry into the first group of customers.
Since there were still no new customers in the first group, Aakesh sat on his chair and didn\'t explain about the golden light.
Most of those who had cards directly entered the portal room, while around a few card owners bought mental healing pills for their group and then entered the room. While those who didn\'t have the ability to afford cards paid for their stay in Panagea one by one.
Soon all the 150 customers in the first group had entered the portal room. The second group of spots for Panagea had also gotten filled, with only the Esh clan taking over around a hundred spots.
Even though it had been only around a few minutes since the store opened, the requirement of the day(2000 hours) had already gotten completed.
Since at this hour, there were no new customers, Aakesh relaxed on his chair and waited for the customers to come.
Time flew by.
Aakesh was only relaxing on his chair when suddenly a system alert sounded in his head.
[Host, customer Maria had successfully broken the milestone and had become the first adventurer to reach Level 26, becoming the first rare lifeform. Please present her with a reward!]
The system informed Aakesh of Maria breaking the milestone in its mechanical and emotionless voice.
The contents of the reward then appeared in his mind.
Evelyn, who was the first adventurer, other than Aakesh to reach Level 11, had gotten the title, Happy Soul, as the reward.
If not for Maria getting that insane reward from her organization quest, Evelyn would\'ve been the adventurer to break this milestone too. Evelyn had already reached Level 18.
Since Maria didn\'t come out of the portal room to receive her milestone reward, Aakesh stopped thinking about it. He would hand it over after her six hours had gotten completed.
***
"I just heard a notification that I\'ve achieved some milestone," Maria told Evelyn as a corpse lay there in front of them.
Evelyn congratulated Maria and told her about the reward she had won for becoming the first adventurer to reach Level 11.
"I\'ll take the reward later from the store owner," Maria commented after Evelyn suggested Maria exit Panagea and take the reward.
Evelyn only nodded, and then they both got busy with their work.
***
Time flew by.
Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of several footsteps.
Aakesh looked in the direction of the store and found a group of Elves entering the door.
These Elves weren\'t Moonlight Elves, but Sunlight Elves. They had blonde hair instead of silver hair. Everything else between the two species was the same.
***
"Is this the store?" Chris asked.
Chris was a late Dharma Monarch cultivator belonging to the Mackey family. The Mackey family was the strongest family of the Sunlight Elves.
They had thousands of ascenders in their family alone, making them one of the top powers of the Primal dimension.
Chris\'s father was the younger brother of the current head of the Mackey family, and he was the second child.
His father and the family leader had tense relations, despite being the child of the same parents.
The relations had worsened to such an extent that Chris\'s father was willing to overthrow his brother, making him the new leader of the family.
But unfortunately for Chris\'s father, not only he was weaker than his brother, but not even his children were able to defeat the children of the leader.
Even though Chris was the second child and the eldest son of his family, he didn\'t carry that status. His father had sixteen children, with seven girls and nine boys. If Chris were to rank himself, he would only come at ninth position.
Out of sixteen children, the eldest child, his blood sister, was the only child of the lot to reach peak Dharma Monarch, while six other children, including him, had reached late Dharma Monarch.
Chris was the weakest of the late Dharma Monarch children. It wasn\'t the end as the eighth rank child, his fifteenth brother had only reached intermediate Dharma Monarch but still was able to defeat Chris.
It was known to the family members that Chris\'s father wanted to overthrow the leader of the Mackey family. But since their parents before ascending had given a protection amulet to both the brothers, none of them could harm each other without using external help.
Since the leader couldn\'t kill his brother and end this struggle, he decided to let their children determine the fate of the leadership position.
The leader only had nine children, three sons, and six daughters. Out of the nine, four had reached peak Dharma Monarch, while the other five were late Dharma Monarch.
Chris being the son, also needed to fight. The only problem was that his opponent was way stronger than him, despite being of the same level as him.
After learning of his opponent, Chris had two choices, either to escape the family or die fighting due to the greed of his father.
If he had a choice, he would\'ve chosen the first option, but being from the Mackey family proved to be counterproductive in this situation. No matter where he escaped to, his father will be able to find him.
So only the second option remained. As for the idea of survival, it never occurred in Chris\'s mind. His opponent, who was his cousin, was known for her talent when it came to combat.
Chris had lost all his hope of survival when he learned about the store from one of the divination experts.
He had paid a large sum of money to divine the way he could survive this situation. The expert had only found this store as an answer to his survival.
***
"Yes!" The Elf next to Chris replied in a cold tone. He was the divination expert that had divined this store as a way of survival for Chris.
He followed Chris here as, except the location of the store, he couldn\'t divine anything else about the store, despite being one of the top divination experts of the Primal dimension.
