Chapter 204 - Class
Chapter 204: Class
After having the conversation with Lily, Aakesh had nothing else to do in Panagea. But he still didn\'t leave Panagea as he needed to find a way to increase his level.
He had already decided to fight the wolf king when he reached Level 35, so he needed to achieve that level. As for the fighting, he didn\'t need to worry about it. He knew more fighting classes than there were citizens in Wolfden.
"Hey, system, I need a class too. I\'m also an adventurer, how can\'t I get one?" Aakesh told the system while traveling back to the town.
Since he was the store owner, he couldn\'t participate in any class related events, or it would\'ve been unfair to the participants. But now that the event was over, he needed a class for himself.
Gaining a class would help him gain ten-twenty levels quickly. After that, it would become the same as regular, but currently, he only needed these levels.
He had already decided to leave wolfden after killing the wolf king, so the earlier he defeated the wolf king, the quicker he would be able to depart.
[Okay, Host! What class do you want?]
The system responded in its mechanical voice, and the next moment, a blue screen containing all the classes appeared in front of him.
While scrolling around, he came across many classes that had question marks in their places. When he asked the system about it, he found out that these classes aren\'t available in Panagea at the moment. They would open in the future. It would come into Panagea in later phases, but since Aakesh was indirectly the owner of this world, the system showed him every class that would ever be present in Panagea.
"What class should I choose?" He murmured while looking at the gigantic number of classes in front of him.
He had already left out the classes in the groups of wizards, energy practitioners, fighters, etc. He had no interest in these classes since they were major classes, and the future storyline would depend upon them.
Aakesh wasn\'t in Panagea to clear the story. The customers needed to do this, he was only here for the enjoyment, and if he could have something in that, he would willingly take it, without affecting the primary storyline. The system also wanted this since, unlike other customers, Aakesh had no restriction of entering Panagea. He could stay in Panagea for the whole day straight, while the customer would be only here for six hours.
"What do you suggest, system?" Aakesh asked the system, as there were literally thousands of classes.
[Host, why don\'t you take this class!]
The system responded, and the next moment, the screen containing all the classes started scrolling on its own, only to stop when it reached the bottom.
There was a class shining in a golden hue at the bottom of the screen.
"Watcher!" Aakesh mumbled as the system had suggested him this class. "Let\'s see your details," He murmured, and the next moment, a new blue screen appeared on top of the previous one.
{Class: Watcher,
Details: The world of Panagea selects a creature to watch over all the beings residing in the world, and that being gets the title, \'The Watcher\'.
Level: Legendary,
Current Ability: The Watcher can watch over all the details of the being 10 Yojana(1 Yojana= 8 miles) around them…}
"Legendary from the start!" Aakesh exclaimed, seeing the level of the class.
Like the creatures, classes also had a level. The class Watcher was Legendary from the start. After getting upgraded, it would become a Mythical level class, then Divine. As for reaching Chaos, there was even less than one-septillion of a chance of any class other than the ten Emperor\'s classes achieving that level.
But for Aakesh, it didn\'t matter whether the class would reach the Chaos level or not. The inheritors of the Emperors would need to fight Vritrasura, not him.
"I\'ll take it," Aakesh smilingly commented, seeing one of the skills of the class.
If he witnessed any fortunate event, he would automatically gain a level increase and ten percent of the reward. With the upgrade of the class, the reward percentage would increase.
[Okay, Host! Prepare for the quest!]
After the system alerted him, a white light enveloped him. With the disappearance of the white light, he also disappeared from the jungle.
The next moment, Aakesh found himself in a market full of buzz. Seeing the tense and hurried people in the market, Aakesh could guess that a war was coming.
[Host, the quest for you is to select ten beings in the market to watch over. If even one of the ten beings you pick dies in the upcoming war, you will lose the quest.]ve
The next moment, the system\'s voice rang inside his head.
The class, Watcher, didn\'t give him an omniscient view at the current level, so his future depended upon his decision. He couldn\'t just watch over everyone. He needed to select the beings he needed to watch over. He wouldn\'t receive any reward if he didn\'t pick the being who got a good fortune.
The next moment, he noticed that his strength had reverted to before completing the first quest.
A smile suddenly spread across his face as he asked the system, "Hey, system, since my strength has reverted to ordinary, does that mean I can help the beings I select to survive?"
[Yes, Host! You can, but if you try to help the beings you have selected, the mission\'s difficulty will increase, and the challenges faced by the town\'s army would grow thousandfold.]
If it were anyone other than Aakesh, they would\'ve gotten afraid of the increase in the difficulty, but not Aakesh.
As far as he could see, everyone was an ordinary mortal here, so even if the difficulty grew by a millionfold, Aakesh would only need to defeat more ordinary soldiers. He had his unlimited stamina with him to continue the battle for as long as the war continued.
Since the Watcher was a unique class, there can be only one Watcher in the whole Panagea. The system designed a difficult quest for the adventurer who attempts to gain it.. But since Aakesh asked the system for a suggestion, the system couldn\'t lie to him despite knowing the cheats he would have in the quest, so it suggested him this class.
