Chapter 96 - Jing Shao
Chapter 96: Jing Shao
Jing Shao took it forcefully, he then glanced at Jing Chen and shrugged. “Is this enough? Since Jing Chen is here, you guys can stay here. I have something on. I’ll get going.”
Su Wan actually didn’t know much about Qin Lan and Jing Shao’s relationship.
Ever since she arrived at the Jing Family, it was Grandpa who was managing the company. Later, Grandpa handed the company to Jing Chen to manage, and he had been grooming Jing Chen since he was young.
She had rarely seen Jing Chen’s father, Jing Shao.
Su Wan didn’t know what was going on, but she could tell from the current situation that this man who should have been Qin Lan’s husband and grandfather’s son seemed like an outsider to the Jing Family.
Jing Chen wanted to continue beating him, but Jing Shao didn’t give him the chance. He stopped him with a cold look in her eyes. “I gave you a chance to teach me a lesson. Stop it. No matter what, I am still your father!”
“Are you worthy? You’re not qualified to be my son, let alone my father.” Jing Chen said bluntly, the anger in his eyes obvious.
Su Wan’s eyes trembled. She could clearly feel that Jing Shao’s gaze became dangerous.
Jing Shao sneered. “I didn’t ask for anything from the Jing Family. He is just qualified to be a grandfather. Do you think that your grandfather is qualified to be a father? By the way, don’t blame me for this. He asked me to come to meet him for the last time. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come.”
Then, Jing Shao continued coldly, “So, if you blame this on me, I will never admit it.”
With that, he left.
Qin Lan also stood up at this time. Her eyes were indifferent, as if she didn’t care much for this man.
“Jing Chen, you and Wan wan stay here and watch Grandpa’s condition. Jing Shao, I have something to talk to you about alone.” With that, she left first.
Jing Shao stood behind and shrugged. He sounded dissatisfied, but he followed suit. “Is there anything between us that we can talk about?”
Qin Lan ignored him and walked out.
Su Wan looked at their backs as they left and sighed. She looked at Jing Chen helplessly. “You’re still so reckless. I was there at that point in time, it has nothing to do with uncle.
“Let me give you a piece of advice. Don’t even call him Uncle.” Jing Chen acted as if he did not hear anything and did not care at all. His face was full of dissatisfaction and unhappiness with this father.
It was as if his punch was not enough.
He still wanted to punch him more.
Su Wan didn’t say anything else. Grandpa was still in the operating theater. Su Wan didn’t feel good that they were fighting outside.
Since that was the case, she did not say anything else and sat down.
…
Qin Lan went out and found a relatively quiet place. She found a public seat and sat down.
She gestured for Jing Shao to sit down as well.
Then, he said, “Grandpa looked for you because he wanted you to come back. You said it had nothing to do with you, but why did you refuse?”
A reasonable person had to accommodate the old man and respect him a little. To go against the old man’s wishes was something Qin Lan couldn’t accept.
Jing Shao chuckled. “You don’t want me to come back either, do you? Everyone will be awkward if I come back. Look at Jing Chen’s attitude. Don’t you understand?”
“What’s wrong with making do for a while for him?”
“I don’t want to make do. I have not made do for anything in my whole life.” Jing Shao’s gaze fell on Qin Lan, his eyes were earnest.
Then, he chuckled. “Do you think I’m unfilial too?”
Qin Lan raised her eyebrows and stood up first. “I don’t think you’ve ever been filial. Alright, since I can’t convince you, then forget it. Is that woman okay?”
Jing Shao pursed his lips and smiled. “Why? Do you care about her a lot?”
“I was just asking.”
After Qin Lan finished speaking, she left expressionlessly. When she faced Jing Shao, her face was expressionless, making it hard for one to understand her emotions.
It was hard to tell.
But to Jing Shao, Qin Lan’s current state was nothing more than a form of self-protection.
He didn’t say anything else and turned to leave.
He might be able to do anything else, but when it came to Jing Hai, Jing Shao had always been stubborn.
Even Qin Lan didn’t understand.
They were obviously father and son, but they were like enemies.
