Chapter 90 - You Are a Little Dumb

Chapter 90: You Are a Little Dumb

Su Wan felt a strong urge to vomit again. Before she could react, she turned around and vomited.

She lay on the bed and started retching.

Jing Chen put down the porridge quickly and said worriedly, “Why are you so uncomfortable? Are you sick?”

With that, he got Su Wan a piece of paper and poured her a cup of water. Su Wan didn’t care about anything else and quickly wiped it down. She rinsed her mouth a few times before she calmed down.

Su Wan looked at him apologetically. “I’m sorry, I’m just not feeling well, so I don’t have an appetite.”

“I’ll take you to the hospital for a checkup.”

Jing Chen’s words made Su Wan’s eyelids twitch. She immediately rejected him. “I’m not sick. I’ll be fine after some sleep.”

“Alright, then have a good rest.”

Seeing her like this, Jing Chen knew that it was not a good time to talk about this.

Su Wan did not know when she fell asleep, but before she fell asleep, she could still hear someone cleaning up. After cleaning up, they even sprayed air freshener. Su Wan smelled it, felt relaxed, and fell asleep.

When she woke up again, there was a warm touch against her palms. When she opened her eyes, she was staring straight at a fair chest.

Su Wan’s hand was on it…

Her heart trembled. She looked up and happened to see a dark gaze. At this moment, Jing Chen was staring at her intently. Obviously, he did not expect Su Wan to suddenly wake up.

At first glance, she even saw his eyes flicker.

“You’re awake? Shall I make you something to eat?” Jing Chen got up to prepare it for her, thinking of bringing it up for Su Wan to eat.

Su Wan grabbed his arm and said, “I don’t have an appetite.”

“Aren’t you hungry?”

Su Wan pursed her lips. She was afraid that her stomach would growl again the next second. After all, she was very hungry, but she was very unwell. She really had no appetite, but her intuition told her that she could not continue like this.

Finally, she said, “I’m hungry. I want a cup of water. Maybe I’ll be able to eat in a while.”

“Are you still not feeling well after sleeping?” Jing Chen quickly prepared the water for her. It was warm and was just right for drinking.

Su Wan drank the whole glass and felt a lot better. She slowly heaved a sigh of relief.

“Nope. Better.”

Su Wan looked at Jing Chen, who had been taking care of her with all his heart. She felt that Jing Chen had returned to how he looked during those two years. It made her feel emotional and her heart throbbed continuously until it met a mountain and it stopped.

“Jing Chen, thank you for taking care of me, but there’s no need. I can do it myself.”

Su Wan’s words had a deeper meaning. Actually, she couldn’t accept what Jing Chen had given her. She felt guilty when she knew Jing Chen did not do those things on purpose, or to bully her.

It was all because of Grandpa. Su Wan forgave Jing Chen immediately and even started to understand him.

When she was at Xia Jing’s house, she had already thought things through a lot, so she accepted it even faster during this period of time.

However, when she saw that Jing Chen wanted to say something but he stopped himself,

Su Wan couldn’t help but ask, “Actually, Jing Chen, you should have told me about Grandpa. I’m not as weak as you imagined. If you had told me, maybe I’d feel better and I’d have more time to accompany Grandpa.”

If she knew about all of this, Su Wan would definitely not go to Xia Jing’s place for those few days.

And she would be able to accept all of Jing Chen’s actions sooner.

It was impossible for her not to blame Jing Chen.

Su Wan’s gaze became weak. She sighed.

Hearing this, Jing Chen retorted, “I’m afraid that Grandpa’s matter will affect you…”

Su Wan asked in confusion, “But Grandpa’s incident will affect me sooner or later. It’ll only make me suffer more if I find out later, right? If Mom hadn’t told me and I’m still being kept in the dark, what would happen if I find out later?”

Jing Chen insisted, “You won’t. You wouldn’t have linked Grandpa’s incident to yourself back then. It’s obviously not a good thing for you to keep blaming yourself.”

“—”

Su Wan looked at him silently. Jing Chen was right…

As if he could sense it, Jing Chen looked at her quietly, as if he was saying, You’re a little stupid.
