Chapter 623: Stay at Home Man
Chapter 623: Stay at Home Man
Lu only knew about the concept of ‘sleeping together’ in a relationship.
Although Jing Yiran understood what she was thinking, he still tried to coach her in a nice voice. “We can do a lot of things in a relationship. We can watch movies, go traveling, cook, kiss, and stick with each other throughout the entire day. We can simply cuddle and don’t necessarily have to do something in bed. But of course, if you are willing to do that, I am happy to do that with you, as well. I promise to satisfy you, want to try?”
Lu had once seen a movie where a man was with a woman doing all those things on the bed. She had found it really boring.
But now, when she heard Jing Yiran asking her about it, her heart could not help but beat very fast!
It was an incredible feeling.
Normally, her body was in a stable state all the year around and her heart never beat fast, unless she was at the verge of dying or under some unbearable stress.
But right now, there was no stress or any death threat, yet she was getting breathless.
Jing Yiran could tell the change in her breath, which made him smile even more brightly.
He wanted to continue to grope under Lu’s body but his hands were gripped tightly by her and he failed to move even an inch.
Then Lu suddenly sprang up and rushed to the balcony, causing Jing Yiran to almost get thrown off the sofa.
His face sunk as he shook his head helplessly.
How unfortunate it was for him to have a girlfriend who was much stronger than himself!
He was no match to her! What was he supposed to do in such situations?
Were they going to live forever like a brother and a sister? Living the so-called Platonic love?
Stopping himself from panicking, Jing Yiran told himself not to give up. He did not want to experience the so-called Platonic love, he wanted to behave as the biggest womanizer in A City who was extremely capable in all aspects. He was definitely going to do something with his girl!
However, that was not going to be achieved in a hurry and they needed to eat first.
Lu was a docile girl. She might not be into this kind of matter, yet as long as he taught her right, she was surely going to like it!
Jing Yiran gave himself some confidence and entered the kitchen, humming happily.
He finished cooking and then called out to Lu to help him carry the dishes to the table.
Lu’s ears were still red, but she looked calm and composed as if she was not affected by what had just happened a few minutes ago.
Jing Yiran had cooked rice, made four dishes and a batch of soup. There was woked sliced mutton, garlic beef, sweet and sour ribs, mushroom chicken dices, and fish tofu soup. All of them were Lu’s favorites.
Jing Yiran had never made these dishes before.
Jing Yichen had been through all kinds of bitterness in his childhood and had not been allowed to eat at home for a certain period of time to ensure that he could survive alone. Jing Zhongxiu had not allowed anyone to feed him and as a result, Jing Yichen learnt to cook when he was really young. Now, he was a really skilled cook.
But Jing Yiran was a master who had been served by people all through his life. He had never been to the kitchen and simply got everything he wanted, at his command.
He had never intended to learn anything, because servants and cooks at home were always at his service.
After he was driven out of the Jing Family, he was no longer the master. Especially after he got shot by Jing Yichen, he lived through a very bitter period.
If he had learnt to cook earlier, he and Lu would not have ended up eating so much junk food.
Junk food did not provide any nutrients or energy for Lu, so she had to eat all the time to keep the hunger away.
So, he learnt how to use the gas stove and how to manage different types of food ingredients. He learnt cooking from the internet and chose the dishes, all for Lu’s sake.
A womanizer had become a stay at home man. How wonderful!
She protected him with her life and as her man, all he could do at the moment was to feed her.
Luckily, he was not born to be a terrible cook, after all. After several failed attempts, he finally mastered the trick. The dishes he made did not look good and some of them had burnt, but the seasoning was alright and the condiments like scallions, gingers and garlic were all well placed, so the dishes did not taste too bad.
Also, Lu was not too particular about food and would always swallow down any food within her reach.
Seeing his woman eat the food made by him, Jing Yiran felt immensely satisfied. Cooking had started to interest him a great deal, suddenly.
He must learn to cook well and make money too, when he had such a food lover living with him. It was not his style to spend Jing Yichen’s money. That was humiliating.
Lu had not felt so full in a very long time. She liked meat more than vegetables. Although she ate vegetables, if she could choose, she would not touch a single leaf of the green plants.
Meat always gave her more energy and she enjoyed it thoroughly.
She finished all the food and then started to drink the soup. Suddenly, she realized that Jing Yiran had barely touched anything.
She was aware that she had an unusually large appetite, so she asked worriedly, “Did I eat your portion too? I will be careful next time. I hadn’t eaten such amazing food in ages so I became too happy to remember anything else!”
Jing Yiran had been very glad to see her eat so happily, but he suddenly turned a bit sour when he heard her words.
When Lu was living with the Jing Family, they gave her good food making sure that she never starved.
But now that she was with him, she could not even eat a proper meal.
How terrible he had become that he could not even get enough meat for his woman!
No woman would be willing to stay by his side, when he had nothing in his pocket and a bullet in his head!
