Chapter 356: To Get All Back
Chapter 356: To Get All Back
And he even fainted out of anger!
When he woke up the following morning, he heard from Doctor Jian that the Old Lord had been in a terrible state last night and he would not have made it but for the legendary Doctor Mu.
The Old Lord had gotten overly furious and blood clogged inside the inner organs because of old age.
A chest operation was not advisable because that would have sped up the termination of his lifespan.
What Mu Wensheng did was the traditional Chinese acupuncture so that the clogged blood vessels inside his chest was forced out, avoiding the operation and saving his life.
He was a “legendary doctor” who lived up to his name. He had brought endless lives back to life.
Goddamn it! He got himself drunk under that situation rather than stay by the Old Lord’s side!
Jing Yiran really wanted to slap himself.
But even if he had been sober, he would fail to fulfil his filial duty next to the Old Lord, because last night, Jing Yichen had kicked him off the stairs and he ended up breaking two ribs and an arm. His arm was bound up and gave endless pain.
He hated Jing Yichen to death!
He had dared to kick him off the stairs. Was he trying to kill him?
He was simply heartless!
Jing Yiran was feeling annoyed when Mo Lan walked in with a white face.

“Grandma!”
Jing Yiran wanted to stand up at the sight of her, but Mo Lan stopped him.
“Just lie still, Ran. I am here to visit after hearing that you are badly injured too.” Mo Lan’s face paled and more wrinkles had crept over her face. She seemed to have gained so much grey hair overnight.
“What are you doing here? I heard that you passed out last night too. You should lie down in the bed and take a rest. Are you feeling better? I am totally fine, I get injured all the time! Two days later I will be fine! Don’t worry about me. What about grandpa? Is he better now?”
Mo Lan nodded and sounded upset. “Yes, he is awake. Ran, it was all my fault. He almost lost his life because of me. Had it not been Mu Wensheng, he might not have woken up! I am feeling so horrible...”
Jing Yiran struggled to get himself up, but the pain made him sweat.
“Grandma, it was all my fault. Grandpa can blame me for anything, not you. You love me so much and you give me things privately because you don’t want me to be the only one without anything! I will talk with grandpa myself and will let him punish me as he wishes!”
Jing Yiran did care about Mo Lan. She was the only one who was true hearted to him. He was not that silly to not be able to tell the difference.
He had tried his best to get whatever Mo Lan had, partly because he had tricked her, but also because he did stay very close to Mo Lan and treated her as the closet family member.
Mo Lan’s eyes reddened.
She wiped off the tears and said, “Silly boy, I gave you all because I wanted to. Leave yourself out of this incident. You should not appear in front of grandpa or father for the next few days. You can visit them when they are less angry.”
Mo Lan was feeling very guilty inside her heart. But she didn’t want her grandson to get beaten by her husband and her son, so she had come to him so early in the morning.
She had given Jing Yiran whatever he wanted and what was done was done. Jing Yiran should not be beaten once again.
Jing Tianyuan would not touch her however angry he got.
She should try her best to make it up to the lost properties anyway.
Mo Lan stressed some more points to Jing Yiran and didn’t leave until he promised that he was not going to show up in front of Jing Zhongxiu.
She returned to her own villa, entered the bedroom and heard Jing Tianyuan and Jing Yichen talking with each other. Jing Zhongxiu and Shangguan Ning were with them too.
Shangguan Ning and Jing Yichen had stayed the night so that they could take care of Jing Tianyuan.
When the sound of door opening arose, everyone turned their head and got startled at the sight of Mo Lan.
She had passed out last night and she should be in the bed. What was she doing here?
Jing Tianyuan also frowned. But he just looked at her without saying and continued to talk with Jing Yichen.
“Here is the check list, just read it. Only a small portion of the properties are in A city whilst the rest are somewhere else.”
Jing Yichen took the list from Jing Tianyuan and read it quickly. The list included large areas of forests and manors, even a large ship factory as well as the rights of port operation.
He put away the documents and said calmly, “Okay, I see. I will handle it as soon as possible.”
Jing Tianyuan looked much better than yesterday. The covers had been changed and he had changed into new pajamas, looking fresher. He looked serious as usual.
He still sounded hoarse, but spoke in a very calm and poised way. He was no longer furious as the day before. “I have checked everything. Jing Yiran is not the owner of these properties and has sold them to different people. It would be very difficult for you to get them all back. But your father and I have agreed to hand over this work to you. These are the properties left from the ancestors and you must get them back before I pass away.”
Mo Lan stiffened hearing what he said.
She knew what Jing Tianyuan was talking about. He was giving the complete list of the properties she gave to Jing Yiran and was asking Jing Yichen to buy them all back.
She had given many things to Jing Yiran but he splurged them all within a short period of time.
Now, she was feeling extremely uneasy and guilty.
She had made another mistake. She had not only given away the properties of Family Jing but also made her husband get so furious that he almost lost his life.
Those properties could not possibly be gained back within a short period of time. Jing Yichen would have to pay a lot to get them back.
She was feeling somehow regretful to have given the shares to Jing Yiran.
She should have given them to Jing Yichen so that she could make up for what she had done.
Mo Lan threw a look at her elder grandson who was standing in front of her and felt extremely awful.
She had again made Jing Yichen face the consequences of the mistake she had made.
