Chapter 2507 - The Last Ace (7)
Then, he turned around and stormed away.
“How did he find out about this? Did you tell him?” Huo Yanyan turned around and looked at Shen Mingxi, her face as white as paper.
“Mhm, we were having a drink the other day. I was trying to get him to give up on Huo Mian and said some stuff, it left him very unhappy.”
Shen Mingxi still regretted saying that much the other night. If he had known how protective of Huo Mian Su Yu was, he would have never said anything to him.
Huo Yanyan was fuming; she pointed at Shen Mingxi. “Why would you do that! You know how obsessed Su Yu is with Mian!”
“I had a few drinks and got brave, so I analyzed the situation for him. I didn’t know he would get so mad...”
“Forget it, don’t tell him anything about Huo Mian again, okay?” Huo Yanyan replied angrily.
“Have you given up on revenge?” Shen Mingxi looked at her and asked.
“Of course I haven’t...”
“What should we do then? Huo Siqian probably brought his guard up a long time ago,” Shen Mingxi muttered worriedly as he tightened his grip around the teacup.
“We can watch the tigers fight from a distance.”
“What do you mean by that?” Shen Mingxi frowned.
“From Su Yu’s expression just now, I’m almost certain that he’s going to go looking for Huo Siqian. We can also tell Qin Chu that Mian saw Huo Siqian, which means Qin Chu will go looking for him as well. We won’t even have to do anything... The problem will resolve itself.”
“Yanyan... I never noticed how scary you could be when you’re being smart.” Shen Mingxi stared at Huo Yanyan; it was as if he had just gotten to know her.
Upon hearing this, Huo Yanyan immediately put her arms around Shen Mingxi’s and said coyishly, “Mingxi, you know how hard my life has been. Huo Siqian killed my dad, drove away my mother, and caused the death of my brother. I don’t have a choice, I never wanted any of this.”
“Forget it, I know how much you’ve been through... Don’t worry, I’ll never let anything happen to you.”
Shen Mingxi believed that Huo Yanyan was worthy of his protection. Therefore, he decided to trust his instincts despite what Su Yu said.
-C City, inside a high-class bowling alley –
“President Huo, someone smashed our car.” Huo Siqian’s subordinate ran up to him.
“Oh? I bet Su Yu did it.” Huo Siqian continued to bowl without paying much attention. His skills were so amazing that the women at the bowling alley all fawned over him.
“Young Master Huo, your skills are amazing!”
“You’re really good!”
“How did you know, President Huo? Have you seen the surveillance tapes already?” His subordinate was dumbfounded; could Huo Siqian predict the future? How else would his boss know what happened no more than a minute ago?
“Ha, aside from him, only a handful of people in this city have the guts to smash my car. Qin Chu isn’t that childish, and Shen Mingxi no longer has the guts to do something like this. So, it’s definitely Su Yu; he’s the only one capable of acting like a three-year-old.”
Huo Siqian often referred to Su Yu as a child, because his IQ was comparable to a three-year-old when he was angry. Of course, only Huo Mian was capable of invoking that side of him.
“Huo Siqian, get the f*ck out of here,” Su Yu’s voice blasted through the door before his body did.
Everyone inside the alley moved back... to make way for him.
