Destined with You

Chapter 509 - 514: I’ll Share Your Pain!2

“Oh, sorry about that. I tripped over my feet.” Huang Jiaxin’s assistant’s apology lacked any sincerity.

Everyone turned towards them. Xiao Zirui rushed over, anxiously asking, “Are you okay? Did it burn you? Does it hurt?”

Ming Shang, who was just sitting down, abruptly stood up. Even from a distance, he could see that the skin around Gu Qingxin’s neck had been scalded red.

His eyes gradually cooled.

“It wasn’t on purpose.” Huang Jiaxin’s assistant quickly left after saying this.

Xiao Zirui was furious. Everyone knew full well she did it on purpose and must have been instigated by Huang Jiaxin.

Luckily, this cup of coffee wasn’t freshly brewed; it must have been sitting for a while. If it was boiling hot, it could’ve scalded her.

The malicious intent of these two women was evident.

Gu Qingxin looked up and saw Huang Jiaxin and her assistant smirking; there wasn’t a hint of remorse on their faces.

Seeing Jack coming out of the pantry with a cup of coffee, Gu Qingxin walked up to him and said, “Jack, may I borrow your coffee?”

“Huh?” Jack noted Gu Qingxin’s previously pristine dress was now stained, he hadn’t comprehended what had happened yet.

Gu Qingxin took his cup and walked over to Huang Jiaxin and her assistant. Before the two women could say a word, Gu Qingxin threw the coffee in Huang Jiaxin’s face.

Onlookers’ mouths gaped in surprise, as if time had stopped.

A high-pitched female scream nearly brought the ceiling down.

Huang Jiaxin jumped up, shrieking, “My face! My face!”

“Sister Xin! How are you… you…” Huang Jiaxin’s assistant was on the verge of tears. What if there was something wrong with Huang Jiaxin’s face…

“Sorry, my hand slipped! ” Gu Qingxin looked at the two women defiantly, her apology naturally didn’t carry the slightest sincerity.

“You… how dare you splash me!” Huang Jiaxin’s hand was high in the air aimed at Gu Qingxin, but Gu Qingxin grabbed her wrist and pushed her away.

“If you dare to splash me, why wouldn’t I dare to splash you!” Gu Qingxin smirked sarcastically, “Oh, I forgot to tell you, I’m great at dealing with petty people! When it comes to spilling coffee, I’m much smoother than you!”

“Pfft~~”

Numerous employees couldn’t control their laughter, cheering on Gu Qingxin.

Ming Shang was initially concerned about Gu Qingxin being taken advantage of, but seeing her fiery spirit, he just leaned back and continued to watch the show.

“Sister Xin, let’s go apply a cold compress!” Huang Jiaxin’s assistant dragged her away sobbing.

Gu Qingxin returned to Jack, handing him back the empty cup, “I’m sorry to trouble you to brew another cup.”

“No trouble at all!” Jack took back the coffee cup and turned to make another cup.

“Go wash up and change your clothes,” suggested Xiao Zirui.

“Ok.”

Xiao Zirui called a female employee to help Gu Qingxin.

Although Huang Jiaxin wasn’t scalded, her face was red. She seethed as she applied a cold towel to her face, berating her assistant for her ineptness, blaming her for the predicament she found herself in.
