Destined with You

Chapter 414: 419: Beg me 8

A harsh shiver passed through Beiming Han’s chest. His face seemed to pale a moment at her words. Hate! She said she hated him!

“Brother, Qingxin, calm down, both of you!” Huangfu Ye rushed in. He knew Ye Qi was being punished and wanted to see what was happening, and he overheard their argument.

“Get out!” Beiming Han still held on to Gu Qingxin, and turned around to roar at Huangfu Ye.

“Brother, it’s time for the meeting. I came to remind you to attend.” Huangfu Ye made an excuse.

“Postpone it!” Beiming Han coldly declared, her hateful words even draining the color from his lips.

“Let go of me!” Gu Qingxin continued to push him, but Beiming Han was like a wall, immovable.

“Brother, please don’t do this. Work is important! Everyone is waiting!” Huangfu Ye continued earnestly.

Just as Gu Qingxin thought he won’t let her go, he abruptly let loose of her hand. Beiming Han took two steps back, gave her a deep look, and hastily left the room around the desk.

All of a sudden, without any support, Gu Qingxin almost fell. She grabbed the nearby desk to prevent herself from collapsing.

After Beiming Han left, Huangfu Ye rushed over, helped her to sit on Beiming Han’s chair, and asked, “Qingxin, are you okay?”

Gu Qingxin shook her head, her lips pressed together tightly, not saying a word.

“Qingxin, do you want to save Ye Qi from punishment?” Huangfu Ye asked, crouching down, not daring to directly suggest that she apologize to Beiming Han.

Gu Qingxin immediately nodded. “What should I do to save Ye Qi from punishment? This has nothing to do with him. I don’t want an innocent person to take the blame.”

“I thought after all this time with my brother you’d understand him. Actually, it’s not that complicated. You just need to act a bit spoilt and coax him a bit, then everything will turn out fine. Remember, don’t plead on behalf of any other man, whoever you plead for will be the one in trouble,” Huangfu Ye explained to her.

“He was the unreasonable one! How could I possibly understand him!” Gu Qingxin was still angry inside.

Hearing her say this, Huangfu Ye knew she was wronged. Beiming Han had indeed been acting strange lately. My brother is like that, silent as stone, always bottling up everything in his heart, never saying a word to anyone.

He knew that this was due to an unfortunate event in his brother’s childhood.

It was a painful past that he couldn’t possibly bring up with Gu Qingxin.

“Now’s not the time to pick a fight with my brother. If you two keep fighting, Ye Qi is the one who suffers. Our punishments are severe, at least a month in bed,” Huangfu Ye exaggerated the warning.

“What should I do then?” Gu Qingxin looked at him anxiously.

“…”

Gu Qingxin came to the conference room with a cup of freshly-brewed coffee, knocked gently on the door, and stepped in.

There was no one else in the conference room, only Beiming Han, who stood by the window, smoking.

“Get out!”

Without turning around, Beiming Han knew by the sound of her footsteps, the visitor was her.

“Mr. Han, I’ve made some coffee for you. It’s your favorite black coffee,” Gu Qingxin approached hesitantly.

Beiming Han stiffened for a moment, then turned to look at her. “What did you call me?”
